This 0 miles, 0 switches business has really got out of hand.

It's a sad state of affairs we're in if we have to buy cars and ensure we neither use them nor make any changes to them just so that we are guaranteed a trade in future for something else we may want/need.

These cars are there to be used, experienced and enjoyed. The different driving feedback, the varied acceleration, the cornering, the noise of the engines, the drifting.

What sort of real GT5 experience are we going to have if the majority of our cars are left untouched in our garages and we're forced to make do with a small number of heavily reused, hugely high mileage cars which we end up becomming sick of the site of !!

Mad World.

Totally agree. I personally dont care bout miles and switches. Whats the point on having 0 mile cars, dont you want to drive em??

So what's the point of you complaining about it and starting a whole new thread if I may ask? There are NUMEROUS threads regarding this "issue" which is ridiculous enough already, you could have just used the "search" function and posted your self-labeled rant in one of those. It doesn't have an effect on you, so why are you worried? There can be lots of reasons why people do this, maybe they buy two of each, keep one as a "show car" and the other as a driver...... Either way, it doesn't really matter right? Good day. 👍

I prefer to receive vehicles with 0 miles not only because they are valuable as trade bait, but also because I can sculpt them from scratch the way I like.
But the current trend towards 0 switches is the pinnacle of anality. lol.
I figure switches are from people either using the car in photo mode, or from accidentally hitting yes when it asks if you want to use this vehicle now. I don't see the big deal with that. After all 0 miles means 0 miles. I can only imagine the people who ask for 0 switch cars sifting through their own faeces each day to ensure they can account for the every flake of bran.

There are still enough people out there willing to trade cars that have just a few miles on them or that came from the UCD and have been restored properly.

Just stay away from the 0-mile collectors, you'll spot them easily enough.

a car with 0 miles can have a highier max stock BHP with an oil change. but if a car even 1 mile cant ever reach the same max BHP for that car

I think his point is that if you do not use one of them at all, the BHP will be slightly more than the one with even 1 mile on the clock and therefore, to the 'ultimate collectors fraternity', worth more to them (I am going to check this shortly just for my own peace of mind). But this brings me back to my original point; If you're just going to just use the game collect cars, why buy a Driving Simulation game.

No, it's the other way around... up until ~400km driving the car will give you more HP because you're braking in the engine. I think you'll gain between 5%-10% HP compared to a non-broken-in engine.

But I see your point :)

Really?! Then that's even more reason to not want a car with 0 miles on it, lol. !

Ah well... sometimes I think it's fun to break in the engine yourself. I sometimes take a new car to the GV300 or LS200 endurance to break it in and see the top speed increase on the straights...

But generally, unless a car has far more than 10000km I don't care about it when trading. 👍

I think we should never forget that in the end, these are still virtual cars...

What? You're serious? I don't really have 250 cars in my garage and a 4 million credit bank balance???!!!

Oh My God, this is the end !!

..;)

I personally don't mind receiving a used car vs a 0 mile one, but I realize that most people want 0 mile cars, so these are the ones I now offer when I want to trade a car. However, I won't avoid using one car simply because it is new if I have to do so for a specific race, like seasonal events for example. To summarize, my #1 priority with this game is to play, and then trade, if I can, in order to complete my garage and to be able to play even more.

I don't really care if people want 0 mile cars but when they start asking for 0 switches, then it's going a bit too far. Don't the switches count for the person that uses it anyways?
