Here's the challenge:
Get the '01 Civic Type-R around "the ring" within 8 min spending as little credits as possible... try getting it below 8 min with S-tires cause it's far easier with R-tires (to some people)

The record is now 7'58,XXX in a ~50000Cr. 4,66Kg/Bhp Black '01 Civic, taken by me
either get below 7'58 or below 50000Cr all and all, or get above 4,66Kg/Bhp
Write down all the mods and a Race Report and lets try to have fun :)
 
Does car and tyres count towards the money?

Regarding the comment about racing tyres being far easier for some people, they are easier for everyone! The level of grip difference from a sports tyre to a slick is phenomenal, i would say for this challenge that sport mediums should be used and then 50k credits spent on tuning as you have allowed. Will post a report when have had a go....
 
everything acounts to the total price and don't use NOS :indiff:
 
That's more like it buddy :) . Have fun. I can only join in with arcade mode, so it won't really count. I'm in the middle of my Formula GT champ heading for 100%, so I can't change cars in GT mode. Good luck! :)
 
Had a wee try at this earlier. Not down below 8 mins yet, but very close. At the moment the power to weight ratio is 217bhp/tonne (about 4.59 kg/hp), so I'm planning on taking off the chip and trying again (will be down to 212bhp/tonne (about 4.72 kg/hp) then).

What I've spent so far:

car: 14,299
oil change: 50
wing: 1,200
S3 Tyres: 5,600
Racing chip: 1,000
Stage 2 turbo: 12,500

Total: 34649

I've only done two laps with this and the better one was a scruffy 8'02.396. As I said before, I'm going to take off the chip and probably do something with the transmission/suspension/brakes next.

If Small_Fryz takes part in this, I expect him to annihilate the competition :nervous:

Awesom competition, are u really using the '01 civic... those Kg/Bhp numbers looked sort of odd and dont waste your money on a wing, that will only brake the car. Have you used the weight reduction stages? those really help allot, especially stage 2 👍 👍 👍 great!

Yep, definitely using the '01 Civic Type R



As you can see, got under 8 minutes now. I took the racing chip off and stuck semi-racing suspension, a racing flywheel and close gearing on (the gearing is now a bit too short, the car hits the rev limiter in 6th a few places around the track, but the extra acceleration is worth it). The car's now got 252bhp (as shown in the tuning screen) and is still the standard weight (1190kg). Power to weight ratio is therefore 211.76bhp/tonne (4.72kg/hp).

Money spent:

car: 14299
oil change: 50
wing: 1200
S3 Tyres: 5600
Racing chip: 1000 (Still counting this even though I've now removed it)
Stage 2 turbo: 12500
Semi-racing suspension: 7000
Racing flywheel: 900
Close gearing: 5500

Total: 48049

I could probably take about a second off this time, might give it a shot later.

Nice run, Small_Fryz (not that I'm surprised :lol: ).

I've just done a wee run there on R4s and the wing with the rest of the car standard to see the difference and it's huge.

Car: 14299
Oil: 50
Wing: 1200
R4 Tyres: 34350 (I think)

Total: 49899

Time: 7'51.617 (with half a second to come)

Power to weight ratio: 168bhp/tonne (5.95kg/hp)

Obviously this isn't a real entry, I was just playing around
 
Nice run 👍, Even the difference between S3 and R1 would be pretty big.

The Teacher, your run was with more power, more mods, less weight and better tires.

Maybe i could Run S2's and still get under 8mins, as S2's come standard which would be 5600 less.

If you were to use the whole 50,000 i wonder what the fastest setup would be. My guess is R1 or R2, wing, oil, flywheel, weigt reduction and the rest spent on power, you wouldnt need the short gears as the extra power should pull the normal gears. No need for suspension either as the car has nice suspension. Might give that a try now and see what i can come up with :D.

Just had a go with this set up. Handles really nicely, great fun. I'm only getting 275bhp though (shown in the tuning screen). Don't know if I've got something mixed up.

My best time with this set up is a 7'29.680 👍
 
Give me chance to run this, i like the ring, and have a small amount of knowledge of the Honda Civic.

Well that wasn't so hard, I made it with 35450 :sly:
I hade to try a couple of setups befour i got it though.

Didn't switch tires from the stock ones.
252PS, 1190kg, 4,72kg/PS

Well I know it's not the best one yet but I proved I could improve without R-tires

Allthow how did the R4-tires improve your time thet much amp88???
