I hate those night vids... you can't see crap 90% of the time, you don't get the sense of speed. Bleh. Then again, it's a bit riskier to film things like that during the afternoon. :lol:

Agreed. I like videos like the one I posted of the '03 vs. Supra, but those are pretty hard to come by.:irked:

Low 11s on slicks, at least I hope. Ideally i'd want a 10 second street car, but that would require 550-600 hp. I'll most likely have to put a cage in this summer.

I had one with a 911 Turbo and some other car, i think it was a 'Vette. It was like 3 in the afternoon, and they were doing over 150 through traffic. It was insane to watch.

I think you're talking about a Porsche vs. Viper video. The black Viper was to the right of the camera car, which was the Porsche(I believe it was zesharkeyturbo off of SF.com, but not sure). Perfect, bright, daytime video. Freakin' flying past mini-vans, and all sorts of cars & ****. Those are some real crazy bastards.

I'm still uncertain with the CRX. If I get the S2000 this summer, I'll probably try to sell it, and concentrate on the St00k instead. I've been modding cars with drag racing in mind ever since I've been driving, I want to try out road racing now. Then again, that might not be a good idea, because i'll still need a winter car. Dilemnas...



Someone should start a thread where we could post all those racing vids, no matter the kind of truck/car/bike/lawnmower... I think it'd be pretty cool.

1995 was the last year for the 5.0L V8 engine in Mustang GT's. 1996 was the first year for the 4.6L V8.

We could just use this thread, I guess. Just start using it to post random cool ass highway run videos in.👍 You know the videos I'm talking about.;)

Just some random **** - I was supposed to meet a guy named Jeff(DSG '03, 2.93 upper pulley, i/e, DR's, etc) from SVTPerformance.com this weekend, and do a few highway runs with him, but our schedules are kind of conflicting at the moment. Whenever I can find a day or so off from school we'll probably run then. He said he'd bring a Lightning buddy of his with an Apten ported blower w/ 4lb lower out to race as well. Should be damn fun. I'm going to see if one of us can show up with a digital video camera to film some of the runs. If not video, at least a digital camera to get some pics of the Cobra's and 'L' together.
 
I would suggest that the thread starter edit the first post to include links to added videos. I'm all about organization.

They went head to head on a backroad by my house last summer. Off the line, they were definitely head-to-head. But, about 3 car lengths afterwards, the MX-6 just started to put space between it and the Mustang.

Yes, something isnt right. As SaleenASL said, 1995 was when Ford last put a 5.0 in a stang. 96 was the switch to the 4.6 modular engine. Though the 5.0 has more of an aftermarket backing, they are starting to catch on to 4.6 performance (and hopefully more 2valve parts).
