My non rm dc5 has 398 hp and I am trying to get some info from people on how to prevent wheel spin. I know I have a fast car, but the wheel spin always gets me. Any help is appreciated.

Start with three things.

1. The obvious, ease into the throttle. If you are using the x button for throttle then just ignore this advice and don't bother reading #2 or #3.
2. Tune the transmission. Guessing the wheel spin is when in 1st or 2nd gear. Make those taller.
3. Tune the LSD. Click the link in my signature about LSD tuning and don't be affraid to ask questions after.

I know that people on hear dont give out their good tunes, but I waswondering if I can get a tune that is setup up 4 indy drag that would be on a non rm dc5?

Easy steps to reducing wheel spin in FWD cars.

  • Set your ride height so that the front is higher than the rear, don't be afraid of 20-30mm differences.
  • Springs. Match your weight distribution, but increase the front spring by 5-10%. (eg, 60/40 weight distribution, 70%/40% spring strenght)
  • Dampers. Set front EXT high (7 or 8), set rear EXT low (3 or 4). Match front COMP with rear EXT and rear COMP with front EXT.
  • ARB. Stronger rear than front (2/5 or 3/5).
  • Camber. Standard 2.0/1.0. You'll likely need to change these depending on how the car rotates.
  • Toe. -0.15/0.15. Same as above.
  • Diff. Set INT as high you dare, but not so high as to cause understeer, start at 8 and work up toward 14. ACCEL, set slightly higher than INT, too low and the inside wheel will burn, too high and the outside will burn. Find the balance. BRAKE, similar to ACCEL, but when you're not on the power. BRAKE has nothing to do with your brakes and everything to do with engine braking.

Gears will likely play a part too, follow any of the methods listed in the sticky threads above...

You'll want to visit the Drag Racing Forum for anything to do with drag racing. 👍 They're also the ones that don't give out their best tunes, not us. Those of us who live in the Tuning Forum are happy to give out tunes, but they're all for circuit racing.:p

do u know how to tune a non rm dc5?

Dude!! Check the stickies in the Drag Racing Forum
Every Drag Tune That Exists!
The Drag Tuning Bible v4.1
And Last but Most Important, 1/4mi. Transmission Tuning for Dummies Fully Illustrated

Also If you can tune a RM DC5 you can Tune a Regular DC5 the RM is Harder.
Also no one is going to give you a pro tune. If all you want is a Tune and not advice check the first link. You will still need to read the other two links, cause all you'll get are base tunes and you wont keep up!

A few last notes you should have posted this in the Drag Racing Forum.
And CyKosis1973, I think your tuning for grip not 1/4s right? I'll try this as a grip setup and let you know. High front end? Balanced weight? Front camber?(0 camber on drive wheels unless you want a little controlled wheel spin.) Such little toe?(maybe at the front, rear is ALWAYS -1.00 happy wobbling:dopey: And LSD I'd say lock it up but you cant. So 60,60,5.

PS don't you owe me something for helping you last time on your EK i believe?
