On the topic of the V8 Colorado/Canyon:
Its a good idea that should have been done from the start. As it stands, these trucks are far too weak to be good for anything, as the rather anemic I5 did give way to a more-powerful and larger displacement version, but it was by no means a replacement for strong V6/I6 or V8 power.
If they can redo the interior the right way (put it on-par with the GMT900s), make a six-speed stick an option on the V8, and keep prices down, they'll sell. Not only for the people looking for a smaller and more fuel-friendly alternative to the Silverado, but also to idiots like me who think the idea of a small, RWD, V8 Colorado sounds like fun...
I still want the GMT355s replaced by the Zeta Ute. It just makes more sense to me...
