1,000,000 gift limit...

Apologies if this should be in the trading thread.

Just bought the Zonda LM for 975,000 from the OCD to give to my bro (he doesn't play much & I thought a nice, fast car might get him into it)

Lo and behold, a message pops up "this car cannot be given to a friend"

So what's that all about then?
 
You can't gift it, simple as that. You can't gift a lot of race cars, and 1,000,000cr is like an approximation. check which cars are giftable or not on mygranturismo.net next time.

Yea, it's kinda weird. They say the limit is 1million Cr. for gifting/trading, but i think they put it down to 950.000 for some reason. I'd buy that zonda for sure if it was really 1million and gifted it to my bro too, because he's a huge Pagani fan, but he can afford them in-game. So, the most valuable vehicles you can send are the Lexus SC430 race cars and maybe some of the Honda NSX race cars.
 
Noticed that too, totally sucks.
 
When you make announcements, you aren't going to announce a specific number.... the message is more clear to give a round number.. You won't find lotteries saying the exact jackpot amount, it's always an "estimated xx million/billion"

Yea maybe in Toronto. But here in the Netherlands we get what we win.

EDIT - As to why the zonda or many other cars below the limit cannot be traded is due to the fact that their actual prices are above the limit. The UCD prices are always less than the true price of the car. While gifting, it's the actual value of the car, not the price at which it is bought that is considered.

I'm really not sure. Don't think that you actually can. Some people say that it is 2-3% more than the UCD price. Again, if you want to know whether it can be traded or not then just visit the Blacklist thread.

Pretty much all of the standard cars worth over 900,000 cr actually have a value of 1,000,000 cr, but because of mileage they cost less.
