Hello all I've been a member of gtplanet for a few months now and it continues to amaze me, I just stumbled upon this this sub forum today.

I was going to post this in the 1/24th section but because they are not that scale I started this one.

Anyway a few years ago I was dutifully following my wife around while she was shopping and I spotted a hobby shop, as I used to build models as a kid I went in for a look. The result was I bought this Mclaren kit that they were virtually giving away. :)

Upon getting it home and opening, it was a trip back to the hobby shop for supplies (paint, glue and an airbrush in the end).

I built it out of the box (no extra detailing).

After finishing the Mclaren I hunted down this Benneton which I've always loved the colour scheme of. I had this model as a kid and made an absolute mess of it.

Once again this kit was built out of the box.

I am currently working on this Ferrari. I sourced an upgrade kit from a company in Japan called Studio 27 which included decals(the non tobacco livery on Ferraris looks hideous in my opinion) photo etched seatbelts and a few other parts.
Mirrors aren't fitted, engine bay need some touch up etc. I also intend to detail the engine by adding plumbing for the radiators and wiring for ecu's etc.

My goal in the end is to build one car from every F1 championship year 1950 onwards.

Criticism constructive or otherwise is always welcome.
Thanks gundalini.......

The Benneton is looks awesome, I know that paint job wasn't easy.
I have a Renault W13B I haven't completed yet but one day I'll have pics up.

Thanks mate although it isn't perfect it did involve alot of time and masking to complete it.
Once you finish the Renault don't forget to post some pics.
