100%/Platinum

I have been reading a lot here in the past month or so and would have expected a few die hard players to have completed the game by now, but it seems no one has done so or even reached level 40 A spec, right?

I don't have much time to play so steadily cruising along at Aspec lvl 23, haven't even tried B spec yet.
 
No! few guys did reach level 40 in A-Spec. But level 40 does not give you Platinum Trophy.
 
Just shows how many people really love the game.
Think its going to take me some time before i get to platinum. This is one game that would be worth it.
 
I would have platinum it a week ago, but my common sense just wouldn't allow me to do Lemans 24hr any more than once, just don't see the point of beating this game.
 
I just follow that link to see any proof and No one has platinum trophy yet, this shown to me that it might be the most valuable platinum ever. Even Wipeout HD and Ferrari Challenge have to step down from their position.

I personally think this is one of the easier platinums especially for wheel users. However for pad users, this game has to be the hardest due to the bad steering rate on the X2010. This game will be the first game I will get a Gold Trophy and Platinum trophy in and I've owned a PS3 for 3 years. Wipeout HD is probably the hardest game overall in difficulty though, as it requires a lot of luck and skill as well as persistence to platinum.
 
The thing that will take me ages now is the grind from B Spec 35 to 40 because of the ten 24 hour Le Mans races and also the the A Spec ones but I wonder if you can just get all golds trophy by just doing B Spec without A Spec because if this is the case then it would be easy for me from here and just time, I've golded everything else apart from the last 2 endurances.

It's been confirmed.
You wither need Gold in A-Spec, or Gold in B-Spec.

Think he meant racing online, uploading the track and photo takes 2 seconds.

If anyone has Platinum, then they would have only just got it. Going from 35 to 40 in A-Spec and B-Spec takes at least 16 days and that's non-stop. Even hardcore gamers need food/sleep.

Sorry, but doesn't the all gold trophy include all Special Events, Licenses and race trophies - surely that would be A and B spec?

I have all golds on everything else including all license and special events but A and B spec have the same events so hopefully it can count by just doing one or the other and apparently does then I can just leave A spec 24 hour endurance on to get loads of xp to get to 40 but come last.

I also read that you get the trophy for events complete just by playing B Spec so maybe can get the all golds trophy as well just for the B Spec, I know it's possible in A Spec alone though but I can't do the 24 hour endurance myself, well yet anyway, maybe if I have to do it then I might eventually.

You don't. Some guy posted here recently that he had the Gold trophy just completing A Spec (and all the licenses/challenges of course), he wasn't even at Level 40 in B-Spec.
 
Really? That's a bit weird. I guess that explains why I've seen people with gold in everything trophy but no A-Spec lvl 40 trophy

Exactly, the Golden standard trophy.

To get the Platinum you just need all the other trophies, meaning that you only have to complete game in a- or b-spec only along with license tests and special events, since you get that trophy for completing all events in just one of those.
 
I do what I want to in racing games rather than what is official or some one else's idea of what should be done. I will never get 100%. I will never do B spec. The only enduro I did was the Indy 500 to get the Jag. I'm at level 36.8 and still love the game.
 
A platinum trophy should only be awarded when skid recovery hasn't been used to obtain any of the golds.

Of course it doesn't. The description says you get the platinum trophy for getting EVERY trophy in GT5.
