I have noticed a few people who claim to have 100% win ratios in GT3. I don't disbelieve them, but I must ask the question, what is the point in that??
As a devout follower of the :gt: series, I am aware of GT's 'open secret': that you 'choose' how hard to make your races by selecting an appropriate car. Hence, a 100% win ratio suggests that these people are missing the point of the game entirely by always selecting a car that is going to win.
Sure, 10 wins out of 10 races is OK, but 500 from 500??
Some of my best memories of GT (esp. GT3) involve 10 race series where the competition comes down to the last race, e.g. I won the Japanese GT series in the Professional League by 2 points... that sort of adrenaline just doesn't come when you race a 787B against everything!
I'd like to see some examples of everybody's race/win ratio to prove that my GT3 ethos is correct. My ratio is a steady 61% at the moment... what that says to me is that I like to race more than I like to win, but I prefer to win a bit more than I lose!!
