100 Years of Flight

Today is the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brothers first flight. Surprized nobody has made a thread on this yet. Anybody got an comments or opinions on this?

I think it is strange that in the one hundred years since the Wright Brothers, flight has evolved to a point where we are sending probes to other planets.

The car - invented years before the the first flight - is not as far advanced as flight is. Strange, no?

One hundred years ago, we could only fly a few yards. Today, we can fly three times the speed of sound and send men to the moon.

What will the next one hundred years bring us?
