I won the first race at Nurburgring with the 67' Mazda L110A against the Elan, Ginetta, Fairlady 2000, Alfa GSS and Marcos. 104 hp, 55KG, road tires (starting on economy). Top speed gear limited to 127, but only reach 119 on the long straight.

First few laps makes me think I can't win, pit after L1 and L5. The Ginetta is the fastest but it crashes at least once a lap so it quickly drops to 3rd, it and the Alfa manage around 9 laps, the Mini just 6. Fairlady is faster than the Elan (bad stock gearing limits it) but only manages 6 lap stints, the Elan doesn't pit until L14. I use almost half my NOS to get ahead of the Nissan, and I stay in 1st from L7 onward.

I realize if I drive gently enough I just might get 5 laps out of the R3 tires (saving me one 30s pit), and driving gently I average 9:16-9:20 laps. The Elan and Fairlady are trading 2nd, about 2M ahead of the Ginetta. Then I have a nos-less 9:13.9 to my surprise. Letting my fuel run lower to gain pace and tire life, I slowly stretch out a lead, first 30s, then 40, then 50 over the course of several laps. Then I'm blown away when I get a low 9:12. In the last stint, I push hard as I want to lap the Mini Marcos and extend my lead over the Lotus. I get a 9:11, then lap the Marcos on lap 23, and really push it to get a 9:10, which I never expected.

I push so hard I ruin my tires for lap 25, losing over 15 seconds from my average. But it's good enough for a 2 minute and 40 second lead over the Elan. I've done so much setup work looking for a viable car/setup/lobby, and I'm not sure if something else was possible the 67' Mazda is ridiculously quick for it's low hp.

I gave up initially as I could not beat the Lotus Elan on Opera Paris or Monaco. I eventually tried to find another lobby with the Marcos, Fairlady and Ginetta but no Elan-I was aware of one that switched the Elan for the Bellet. Eventually, I found a lobby with the Fiat 500, Toyota Sports 800, Fairlady, Ginetta and Marcos.

I had to reduce HP to 100 from 104 and retain the 55KG ballast. I also skipped the first race as I had already won it and didn't want to spend another 3 hours on it.

In Paris I had to pit every 14 laps vs 22 for the Fairlady. The Ginetta's proclivity to crashing soon took it out of contention. I ended up beating the Fairlady by 1.5 laps and my fastest NOS-less lap was a 1:46.3.

Monaco was pretty challenging due to my lack of power and its one of my worst tracks. After pitting on lap 2 for N3s, I spent 70% of my nos to reclaim 1st from the Datsun. Most of the race I was between 20s behind to 20s ahead of the Datsun. By lap 60, I realized both myself and it had 2 more pits, and I was more confident in a win. I won by a little under 50 seconds. Best nos-less lap was a 2:09.

Sarthe was very boring, but not easy. Wasn't sure if the Datsun would pit once or twice (it did after L16/32) so I really stretched out my tires after my L17 pit. My tires were red on the final lap and my last fuel bar dissapeared. Best NOS-less lap was a 5:09.
