101 things to do before you die (or upgrade to 1.06)?

At the moment I'm without a broadband line so can't update to the new update for at least a month (avoid BT!!). I've seen some comments about the new features within the update so the question(s) I have (and for anyone else who hasn't update yet) is

What should I do before updating (eg races, specials etc)?

I've already got Golds in all of the licenses so any changes there won't affect me.

I've not yet completed all of the Special events in gold.

I've heard that the NASCAR challenges are harder as ABS can't be set to off. I've got 1 gold in the advanced left to do (the one with the pit stop - which is 45 seconds of your life wasted waiting for that!!)

I won't attempt the Vettel challenge until the update though!

I've also not bothered doing any of the A Spec endurance races (Bob is lvl 35 and just has the 2 24hr races left)

Should I wait to do those?

Any other tips for those who haven't updated are gratefully accepted!

One word: Grinding!!
 
Just fill your pockets and collect cars, that's the only thing better on pre 1.06 patch, the money prizes.
 
Don't forget to do the NASCAR championship. In 1.06 ASM is locked on and ABS minimum is 1 in both Indy and Daytona, which means that ASM will be always be on. That in turn makes Daytona VERY hard to earn gold.
 
I really put the NASCAR championship off so I better had do that then!

I have to go along with the Top Gear boys when they went to America - NASCAR sucks!

Thanks for the tips, especially if the money payout is less with the update!!
 
Make a few more Mount Aso courses and enjoy them, because the new update ruins them.
