for track today we had to run to get timed. it was freezing out too(god, was it bad). i was all coughing with asthma-like symptoms or something...it was definitly weird. but yeah, so we ran the 800 then 400 then 200 then 100. i wanted to run the 100 because i know im a good sprinter (for my size at least) and i wanted to see how fast i was anyways.

im not sure....but i think my time was a 12. something.....either a 4 or a 6.

what i wanna know....is how fast is that on a high school lvl.

i mean, im a discus/shot thrower and i outran a distance runner and kept up with the pack (for the most part at least <_<).

btw if you need to know, im in between 6'2 and 3 and about 250. freshman on varsity. heehee :D

thanks in advance.

peace.

You might just have a place on the "thrower's relay".
12's aren't blazin' but fast for most throwers.

I have a son that could run in the 11's but doesn't want to compete, so he lays back.

I have another son that runs middle distance. He's down to the high 1'50's for the 800m run.
His personal best for the mile is 4'45.

nice.....

i could probly hit a high 11. i jumped at set but didnt foul. lol.

and it was REALLY COLD!

and yes, i am running the big man relay.

I used to run low 13's in grade 9...now i'm in grade 12...i wonder what i could do now??...but I need a puffer now when i run(athletic induced athsma)....ah...i miss track and feild!!!!

You might want to check that 800m time again, unless of course your son is nationally ranked in the NCAA, or a US record holder in High School.

As far as the 100m time for a freshman in high school. There are girls who will run the 100m under 12 seconds at your age. :p
