P2P companies pay for 12 yr. old's lawsuit
The twelve year old girl sued earlier this week for file trading by the RIAA, will have her $2,000 settlement paid for by a coalition of file trading companies. The honor roll student, who shared such files as "If You're Happy and You Know It" on her PC, was one of 261 users facing lawsuits from the RIAA. P2P United, a lobbying group which has many file trading companies as members, has announced they'll be paying the settlement. "We don't condone copyright infringement, but it's time for the RIAA's winged monkeys to fly back to the castle and leave the Munchkins alone," says Adam Eisgrau, executive director of P2P United.

I read an article a few days ago about the RIAA. It said that if the RIAA sued 75 people every single day, it would take over 2,100 years for them to stop subpoena every single file sharer.
[EDIT] To be exact, it would take 2191.78 years to sue everyone.[/EDIT]

Right.

Our economy is going to hell, and not only that at least one person is killed in iraq and or injured.

The RIAA is nothing but a here today, gone tommrow group. after they collect money from everyone, and give it to the goverment for usless crap. youll never hear from em.

ANd Yes, the RIAA sued the person who paid for the Internet access so that the 12 year old could download the music.
