Hi all, I relatively new to the game (had it a few weeks now), but I'm really getting into the online part. As a fan of longer races such as Le Mans, I thought I might hold a mini-endurance race (as opposed to the 5-lap/15 minute sprints I'm used to doing with my friends on here).

Yes, it's short notice, but I've just joined this site, and thought I might try and spread the word a bit. Nothing epic, just a 50-lapper around Grand Valley Speedway this evening (23/12), at 19:15 GMT. Lobby name will be 150mi Grand Valley, and will open at 18:50 GMT. Max power of 601bhp, min weight of 1250kg, race hard tyres, really intended for modified production cars. Max number of players of 16. This is kind of inspired by the new FIA GT1 category, in terms of power and weight.

Intended for modified production cars. By that you mean tuned (or modified) road cars - like a Ferrari or such?

Of course. If it gets through the regs, it's in. Even if it's a racing special version, that's fine. Even 4WD.
 
Are there many participants yet?
 
Well, shame, but it just didn't happen! I think probably better publicity and perhaps a better choice of time would have helped the turnout...
 
Trust me m8 it's pretty hard to get something going around here.
 
Yeah, we need to try and get people to sign up and commit...and name and shame those who do, but don't show up...we could have "reliability league tables", with prizes for the most dependable participants - and BOOOs and anti-kudos for the wishy-washy no-shows!
