[RANT]The one that debuted in GT in GT4.

I was BRILLIANT! When I saw it, I thought, Mitsubishi made THAT? In 1989? It's futuristic TODAY! Love the spoilers! Why on EARTH didn't Mitsubishi use that? They would be so popular! It inspired the GTO (3000GT) but the GTO doesn't use any of the best parts of it. The only part on a Mitsubishi which looks copied from it is the Eclipse tail lights, and even then it's probably the only part I don't think looks as good. By the way, its the only HSR I actually like, the rest don't look so good...

Also, the HSR-VI looks like the Dodge Copperhead (from GT/GT2)

EDIT: I must HAVE this in GT5[/RANT]

What parts of the HSR-II did the original GTO/3000GT not use? Granted it was toned down in production, but the very first version of the GTO had active aerodynamics, active suspension and all that stuff. That's why it weighed 47,000 pounds.

Active aerodynamics? where are these on the gto? i see the front parts and rear spoilers on the hsr-ii, the gto doesn't have these right?
But I mean the hsrii still looks futuristic, whereas the gto just looks like a cool car. the front end looks quite different, the roof was changed, the side scoop and stripe was removed and the overall shape was changed.
I just love the styling of the hsr-ii, and don't get me wrong, the GTO is a great car, (i wish they never scraped it.) but it was never as jaw-dropping amazing as the HSR-II!

Which worked in tandem with the active suspension to set the car's driving characteristics to the best they could be based on the situation.

I see, but it just lacks the style the hsr-ii had. also, the hsr-ii had two separate rear spoilers that came up at different times. (depending on the corner)
