maybe you didnt change oil, even with new car just out of stock, it still improves if you take it to an oild change.

Either that or yours has already started to lose horsepower from how many miles you've driven it.

Very true. In real life, that is. In the game, it's the opposite :( No power gain, only power loss :dunce:

Yeah, buy a new car, test it out for max speed and 1/4 mile, race a couple times or more. Test it again. I'll probably do this tonight. What car should I use?

IN GT3 the cars gained horsepower after a few km's and then, of course, lost hp after a few more..

not sure about GT4 though?..

I'm pretty sure it's the same in GT4. Happens in real life though I think because when car magazines do long-term tests, they test the car before they do the long-term run. Then after 40,000 miles or so they test again and it's performance improves.

Yeah, I don't know why they don't gain HP in GT4. It's ridiculous...in real life cars gain horsepower up until a few thousand miles before the engine explodes. What real life production car starts losing horsepower after only 1000 miles!?

Italian cars made before 1985, British cars made before 1980... Hey! Maybe that's what GT4 was trying to replicate. Maybe it isn't a drving sim at all. It's a reliability and quality sim!

You forgot to mention just about every honda from 1980 to 1995. 100K miles and the engine is just getting broken in. The cars been through hell, but the engine still purrs like a kitten.

Nope. Unfortunately. Of course, who'd want to drive the car under 50mph for the first 800 miles of the break-in period? Oh yeah, I would :D

After awhile they start to lose hp
