First off I'd like to tell you guys that flohtingPoint broke his arm midway through last month while skateboarding. He's been pretty bummed since then and when I talked to him about making a drift video he perked up a little and volunteered to take my data and compile it for me into video format if he could use a couple of his old clips. He told me that when he got done, if I wanted to show it off, this would be the premiere place to do so. He put it on his server for me and the link is below.

floh told me to tell you guys it was in divx video format and mp3 audio format, incase you all are having playback problems.

Very good editing, superb drifting and d'mn smooth. Very good job Mathematix and flohtingpoint.
👍👍👍👍

Gimme more. :D
/Eddie.

Not bad......The editing, and video quality was great. The drifts were ok, work on getting some more angle, and work on linking........Keep up the good work;)

skateboardin is bad.....mmkay.

lol. nice vid.....took me like the whole day to d/l. (5kb/sec  )

anyways....i think it woulda been cooler to see some of the cars come out of the drift too. the complex string dirfts were pretty cool. ehverhyting whas teh goud.

later...

I'm glad you all liked it. I was pretty worried because this was my first video appearence and I have only been drifting for around 3 weeks.

I'm glad that you guys are giving props to the film quality too, I think floh did a good job too and it only took him about 20-30 minutes, including rendering time. He told me to show up at his place with a notebook listing the times and names of the clips I wanted, then he sat down and did some math to find out how they would fit, then he went right to work. I was pretty impressed.

FreewayDrifter, I do not quite know what tools flohtingPoint used but I will let floh know your concern and maybe I can talk him into dragging himself out of his hole he dug when he broke his arm and post here. I wish I knew more about video so I could help you but floh is the one thats savvy about that kind of thing.

Thank you for the kind words regarding the video quality.

To all who want to replicate the same quality all you need is the following:
-Video Capture Device
-Video Compression/Arrangement Software

Ok, video capture device. I use the worlds most horrible and cheap piece of crap, made by the worlds most horrible and cheap piece of crap company, Dazzle. My capture device is the Dazzle DVC 80, also known as a USB piece of junk. I capture all my video with this.

My video compression device for this run was Adobe Premiere Pro 7.0, as this was assembled at work, at home I have only a few programs to work with. DO NOT USE MICROSOFT MOVIE MAKER! WMV format is evil. At home I think I use Ulead Media Studio, been a while since I did a movie at home, but for all basic purposes, any decent software will do.

It is in the process of capturing and rendering where you can tell who has did their homework and who has not, as I am sure we've all seen some bunk recordings. Couple key things to clear up video quality is gather as uncompressed, assemble, then choose the slowest rate of compression and a decent kbps, with that you cannot go wrong, even if you use garbage like me.

Mathematix and I are both in media production (he does web pages, I do vid) so needless to say, we have plenty of time to sit and mess around with junk, and with around 30 min I found how to make the DVC 80 look pretty clear on Premiere. All it takes is some screwing around with your device =)

Anyway, glad you guys liked the vid, Math is bugging the hell out of me to get off his comp cause its taking me 10 years to type this with only 7 fingers accessable, the other 3 are pretty well in place from the casting =/

Regards,
floh

subTRACTION...

It's genius.

Aw thanks, but floh was the one who thought up the name. I went with it cause it sounded pretty cool and blended with my handle. :D

Nice job guys, some good drifts in there. I didn't care for the music too much though, but hope to see more videos in the future.

still not working man. oh well. My comp said it needs an indeo codec to play some files. so my guess is that the indeo codec crapped out on us.

rock.

Very nice. I haven't seen a decent video like that in awhile, mostly because I don't browse around these forums alot anymore. Personally, I thought that the music didn't fit with the video, but the video was still nice. I have a question tho....was that Bone Thugs? Haven't heard that in a long while either lol.
