"Evo II at the 'Ring"

Further explanation of the theme:
I've always loved this combination. So, yeah. I basically just want the best photo you can get of a that, or those, cars on the Nürburgring.

  • You must post your entry either as a thumbnail, or as a preview linked to the full image - see here for instructions .
  • Previews should be no larger than 400 pixels along the longest side - be it vertical or horizontal - and should not have more or less effects than the full size image.
  • Photos must be taken from a normal version of GT4, do not use any cheats or Game Shark codes to modify the game content.
  • Please do not ask other members to choose your entry. Have confidence in your own skills and go with your favorite shot.
  • The theme chooser cannot enter the competition he is judging.

Allowed Photoshop adjustments:​


  • Levels
  • Curves
  • Color Balance
  • Brightness/Contrast
  • Black & White
  • Hue/Saturation (you may adjust however you wish)
  • Desaturate
  • Photo Filters
  • Shadow/Highlight
  • Exposure

Allowed Photoshop Filters:​


  • Blur
  • Distort > Diffuse Glow
  • Noise
  • Render > Lighting Effects
  • Sharpen
  • Other > High Pass

[Note:No plug-ins for any of the above adjustments or filters are to be used]​


What you may not do to a photo.​


  • You may not alter the geometry of the car. This includes adding body kits, stickers, etc.
  • You may not add/remove anything from the car (spoilers, carbon fiber, intercoolers...not even if you use allowed tools/effects) RIMS ARE THE EXCEPTION FOR ADDITIONS.
  • Nothing from outside GT4 may be added to your photo.

What you may do a photo:​


  • You may migrate wheels from phototravel to in-game photomode
  • scale (or enlarge) rims
  • remove license plates

Let's hope GT4 will come in my mailbox soon enough and I might use this week as a tournament warm-up :)

Double H, amazing entry! It is very alexwrc-ish as Bram said. Speaking of him, where the hell did he go? He's been gone since August.

I know him, but no more than anyone else on GTP. I had a brief email exchange with him earlier this year, sadly I don't think he's coming back.

Thanks for the compliments guys, the comparisons to alexwrc are flattering but his stuff is waaaaay beyond what I could ever do. :bowdown:

Like bram said, it instantly reminded me of AlexWRC's 787B shot made almost a year ago.

I sincerely look foreward to more from you, if this is what your giving us now. Staying around these forums boosts anyone's skills. 👍

You emailed him? Did he give a reason as to why he left?

Also, it is fantastic, very similar to alex's. Out of curiosity, where did you find the plate?

I'm not recieving my copy before this week ends, so I'l have to wait for week 127 to get myself warmed up again 👍
 
If only this didn't end today, then I might think about entering it with something ludicrous. Oh well. Plus Double H's shot is amazingly done...
 
I will leave it open until tomorrow you (and possibly I) enter. I had to get a virus on my computer fixed and I'd like to enter as well.

Ah, alright. I will have to re-shoot tomorrow as the ones I did today kind of suck. I'll get it in soon-ish.


EDIT: It wasn't as salvageable as I thought. Though I might change it still if I do shoot tomorrow and it's better. (And I also might improve it a bit)
