Super excited about the new features & G27 support I jumped into the 2.0 update. I was sourly disappointed to find out that the on-wheel buttons still are not really mappable. GT5 is forcing some buttons to whatever it feels like, even though they are mapped to other controls. Others just simply do not work, though they are mapped to controls.

This is frustrating because the top left button is forcing to the tuning menu, the middle left does nothing, & the top right does nothing. I had the middle left working on horn at one point but now it won't even do that.

Anyone else encounter this? Is there any workaround? I thought maybe GT5 was incorrectly identifying my wheel so I manually disabled every button possible on all other wheel types & DS3 controllers & still no go. Made sure both G27 1 & 2 are set to the same controls as well.

Super disappointing as I was totally pumped that the wheels finally had support....... Hoping Polyphony gets on this issue quickly.

I did search... I am quite familiar with forums. But the search function here is broken. "G27" comes up with no hits at all in the last week. I have found the info by searching through pages of recent posts manually.

Thanks for the response though. For anyone else wondering, Polyphony has already addressed this issue and it has been fixed, but we are waiting on the next patch. Race on!

Just for future reference, any searches with less than 3 or less characters wont show any results. So not your fault!

weird cos mine works well

the degrees of rotation for the G27 is still fixed at 900°.
I want an option to select the degrees of rotation!

Driving a normal car with 900° is fine, but drifting or driving a formula-1 car with 900° of rotation is just not right.

btw: is it possible to change the degrees of rotation on the fu**ing overpriced Thrustmaster T500 RS? If yes, is it done ingame or at the wheel?

I could map my G27 buttons fine. I added look left, look right, horn and windscreen wipers to the existing layout and they all work fine.

So with the bug getting a patch to be fixed, would the g27 be fully functional and properly working for GT5 then? I have been contemplating purchasing a g27 over the last couple months, but was hesitating because of finding out it wasn't officially supported.

What I am wondering is, with this new spec 2.0 update, and the promised fix for the buttons bug, would that make the g27 fully functioning in GT5? Would it be worth it to purchase one now?

Right now I have GT5, Driver San Francisco, and the Motorstorm games. Do Driver and Motorstorm support the g27? What are some other racing/driving games that support the g27?

I had no issues setting up my G27 wheel. As omegasc stated, searching is your friend.

My G25 wont let me change some buttons

e.g., its forcing the 3rd red button to stay as pause, i cant change that. is this normal?

True about the pause button. However, everything else should work.
