2.09 cannot fill gas tank

in the middle of a 9hr Tusukba race, and the update came. now when i fill up with gas, as i exit the pits, the tank drains and i can only drive a big 50mph around the track, i guess its ok, the time won't go any slower, i lap the other cars every time because they pit for gas and i have given up pitting.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Kaz put out a tweet yesterday to say don't do the 2.09 update if you are in the middle of a saved race. There is nothing you can do to fix the problem as far as I know other than quit the race and start over or keep going at a mind numbing 50mph
