So, im currently grinding my B-spec racers from my alternate account because a Sauber C9 appeared and I didnt have enough time to make the credits required. I then remembered that I had waited through many cycles to see this come through, compared to how many i waited for during GT4. Why? Because there was 3 used dealers, instead of just 1. That means you have a broader selection at any given time for which cars you want, giving you the ability to find cars 3x as fast.

But, what does occur to me is I forget how many cars cycled per day per dealer on GT4, so this all may be null.

But would you prefer the 3-dealer system, or this thing we have going now?

I prefer that system.

3 the mo cars the mo better

I wish PD had the sense to organize the UCD exactly like the NCD. But yes, I prefer the used dealer system in GT4.

I prefer the system of GT5 :sly:: now you can buy all cars that are in the game. In GT4, some cars you HAD TO win, because there was no other way to get them.
Also, the time cycle is better. In GT4, everything you did (taking photos, buying a car, race,...) takes one game day, and every seven days, the ucd changed. So if you were just on that seventh day, and you wanted to buy 2 lovely cars, you were in trouble:scared:

I think it wasn't just the multiple dealers in GT4 that helped you find what you were looking for more often, but also the fact there were a lot less cars that were considered "used". GT5's problem is cars that were formerly considered "new" in GT4 are now "used", and 800 cars is a lot to cycle through one dealership. I think you would need more than 3 or 4 dealerships to get the frequency that you saw back in GT4.

blootmens, I think the fact you can get any car from the dealership really cheapens the prize cars, especially considering you can now only win them once. In previous GT games, there was a sense of accomplishment in winning prize cars since there was only one way to get them, and what you got was usually proportional to how difficult the race or task was (if I recall, the cars you got for getting gold on a set of difficult license tests was usually worth it). Some of the prize cars in GT5 aren't just worth it for what you do or cause other problems, IMO. Winning the Midget for the pick-up races is kind of hilarious considering that although you can race it in the pick-up series, even fully modded it cannot compete with the other pick-ups (which are either stock or close to it) that are racing in it. I also think the you receive the Veyron way too early in the game, and seeing as how some races have little restrictions you can use it to blow past the competition in quite a few race series by a large margin.

I know what you mean about the prize cars, but there are races from which I know I will NEVER win them. In GT4, I always wanted the Ford T but you had to gold the special license, which I never did, simply because it was too hard for me and I didn't have the time to do it. It is basicly the same in GT5 with some endurance races. Also, the Formula GT championship seems hard to me.
