2-Player Battle In B-Spec

Just got GT4, it says in the intruction booklet that you can play 2 player battle in either A-spec ot B-spec. I wanted to try a few in B-spec, but could not figure out how to do it.

I like setting up grudge matches between cars that i think may be even, and running the AI in B-spec makes sure that the skill level is even.

But for the life of me, i cant quite figure out how to start a 2 player B-spec race.

If anybody has tried it, please tell me how you did it. Thanks
 
I've try to put the B-Spec like you ... French and english booklet that the same thing

This mode can be unlocked ?

I dont think it is incomplete, those booklets seem like they could be printed at the last minute, and they dont have alot of info in them anyway. why put info in of stuff that did not make it?
 
I'll check it out tonight, i'm going to my friend's... I'll keep you guys posted tomorow when i come back.

Porsche = RUF in GT3 and GT4.

Chances are Ferrari and Lambo didn't allow Polphony to use their cars in the game because they don't want them to handle badly in the game and make people think they are the same way in real life. Or they just didn't want their cars in the game. Ferrari and Lamborghini are in very few games.

I wanted to give it a try, i wanted to set up a match race between a new mustang and the G35 coupe. they seem very close in evrything and would have liked to see the results of a race between the two cars without differences in driver skill being a factor.
not a big deal, i can just run them alone.

Unfortunatly Ferrari and Porsche have exclusive deals with other game makers, so no one else can use them.
I forget what companys have what deals.

But they want their cars to be crashed and destroy in project gotham racing, several need for speeds and in Forza Motorsports! Stop kidding!

I'm also annoyed by few things which are (or are not) in this game.
We have no Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo but we have some 40 Skylines :yuck:
We can't try a car because autosave is said to be more realistic, what a joke! But buying a car and doing an oil change can give it more than 100hp :rolleyes:

We have been waiting for so long and the reasons PD gives us was improving the AI and online mode, indeed none of these two things have been done.

If in addition, the 905LM is slow (whereas it is the fastest le mans car in real life) it would be a shame....

I mean of course GT4 is the new best racing game ever but does it worth such a long wait. mmmmm I don't think so....

Recreating alone the Nordschleiffe took them 6 months. I can understand why you are disappointed by taking something out what was promised. Tough in all fairness, GT4 the offline game is the best value for money some one can buy. It probably will take years to fully experience it 100% and that my friend is what most offline games (perhaps no offline game at all) don't bring. Nearly 95% of the games are hollow money suckers nothing more nothing less. Enjoy what you have!!!
 
Why would it be pointless ? I see where he was coming from and thought it would be a good benchmark comparison..

And if its pointless, it'd be just as much pointless in 1 player mode.. I think its cool how it works, tried it for the first time yesterday..

Exclusive deals that expired already since Porsche is basically already in GT5?
I agree with the fact that you thought the booklet was incomplete. The GT3 one dwarfs it and they dont even describe B-Spec or A-Spec points. Its definitely a jewel of a game but could of used more polish.

Yeah, EA's exclusive license with them expired around november/december, too late for PD to get the license, test and then model the cars. :indiff:

imagine you creating your own game, it is so easy, isn't it, especially the $$$ for the licences for those 3 cars, and imagine the delay if they were making online mode
 
I'm not disappointed with not having online mode or ferrari and lambo (RUF's are so close to porsche in handling and such, it doesn't even matter) because you know what? the online front has been solved, and lambo and ferrari just plain aren't that big of a deal.

Unfortunately this is one thing PD left out, so you'll have to live with the split screen replays i'm afraid. :yuck:
 
It's a shame 2 player b-spec doesn't appear to be in:( I think it'd be a fun way to kick back with someone who can't drive very well and still be able to race them.
 
btw Porsche is very different from RUF. the only thing that is similar is the body. everything else is different, so they are not the same or equal.

and for arcade mode do u unlock more cars? or what?
