2 questions

ok i've had gt5p for about 5 days and i have 2 questions...

1) where is the car tuning? am i blind?

2) I've got the ps3 hooked up by component cables into my tv running 1080i and if im not using the in car view, as i come out of the tunnel on highspeed ring, the screen goes black for about 3 seconds. Doesn't do this if i use in car view...any thoughts?
 
You need to finish A-class to unlock Quick Tune Setup, which appears on the menu just before you enter a race (at the very end, near the exit button).
 
1) IIRC car tuning is only becomes available in S class

2) doesn't happen on my TV (running 1080p via hdmi) in any view
 
2: The screen get's very white (in a bad way trying to get the driving out of a tunnel and it's to bright-thing that happens with your eyes irl). Go into the PS3 menus and check is Super White and/or full range RGB is on or off and try to change them. My thought is that the screen gets too white and your TV can't handle it.

But on the other hand.. Everything really white would get black... and i think that's not the thing here, right?

1). The Car tuning also known as Car settings, can be accessed by entering your car into a Race or Drift Trial. You can't access settings from the Time Trial Menu's.:) Basically because if you know how to Tune your car you'll get an added advantage over other Time Trialer's. PD wanted to keep the playing field even for all regarding online rankings.;)

2). Try adjusting the contrast ratio's of your screen, if there to high your screen with be over-contrasted and the increases and decreases of contrast on your screen will be greatly exagerated, which could cause that problem your having. I don't know if this is the problem, but give it a shot, if it fixes the problem then you'll be laughing!:D

for what it's worth i switched to HDMI and the screen quit doing it? oh well i was going to do HDMI anyhow.
