I have couple of questions, I've used the search function but it can't string a phrase only words and I can't seem find my answers. So here goes.

1) Is there a way to completely restore a used car? Hypothetical: Say I buy a used car, with say 27,000+ km. Can I get it back to a 0/0 after I've burned my car restore tickets on the items list with the special coupons.

2) What is the "pit strategy" on B-spec?

-Thanks

I can't help with the first one. I don't know of a way but there may be some glitch some people know about.

The B-Spec pit strategy is a simple trigger point for what strength level your driver will come in to pit and change drivers(assuming you have multiple drivers in the race). If you set it to 10%, he'll drive until his strength drops to 10% and then pit.

It does work... sometimes. I've run races where it went flawlessly and my drivers were actually ready to get back in the car after only two of the three other drivers had done their stints. I've also had them be nowhere near back to full strength after all three others drove. Not really sure what makes the difference.

It also doesn't matter that much as long as you are watching the race and issuing commands anyway, as you would in an actual competitive race. You can let your drivers continue to run around with no strength and they don't get substantially worse than they are at 10 or 20%, at least if they are not rookies. So you can pit in for tires or fuel just like in a-spec. If the race isn't competitive and you're just walking away while it drives at minimum pace, it will automatically call them in when it thinks the tires are shot or fuel is about to run out, so there's no need to set the strategy.

If you do let it run with a strategy set without watching, there's a chance you'll end up taking way too many pit stops if they only run a couple of laps at a time. If you do that with only one driver, I think he'll pit every lap once he reaches the limit.

Nice idea, poorly implemented. They're good at that.

Not sure about restoration of used cars.
Engine rebuild and chassis overhaul will remove alot of wear, but I think I've read that after a certain distance some damage is permanent.

You could trade to get a 0/0/0 - Or get very lucky with a certain Tickets. (But this would just be a replacement car.)

They did have some car restoration tickets - but I've not used mine... if they work by waving a magic wand and making the car a ) milage car with no wear on chassis or Engine then you could work with a Friend... send your used car to them... let them spend their ticket to fix it. Then let them gift it back to you...

Bit of a hassle, but compared to real life quite a bargain.

Hello.

There is only one way to completely restore a car, and thats using car restoration tickets. They will reset the mileage, however they will not remove The engine and weight modifications that you can install in stages.

Those tickets are very valuable, And IMO should be saved for very expensive hard to find standard cars.

If its a premium, you can just buy another car.

If you don't have car restoration tickets, there is no way to reset the mileage on your car, you would have to buy it again.

You could send the car to a friend willing to do it for you, But I doubt its worth either of your time, as you can only send cars worth 950,000 or less, and you can pretty much find anything your looking for in the marketplace, most of the time for free.

If you have a second account you simply save game then restore the car and send it there, then reload saved game so that you still have your restore tickets intact. Or work a similar deal with a friend as already stated.

Thanks, for the responses. Yes I still have a few complete car restoration tickets left. I used them so far on a couple of super high milage "standard" cars that I absolutely must have new. Saleen S7 and the Subaru STi 22B, I will drive the snot out of them they were both 40k+ km in the used dealership at the same time last month. It just made me wonder if there was a way to do it once the tickets were used.
