20+ Miatas and no Coupes?

Normally, I would be against adding more variations of an already abundant car in the GT world. But I'd make an exception for the NB Coupe, which is IMO different enough from its convertible counterpart.

So, where's the good ol' Japanese bias when you need it? I'm sure they have connections at Mazda!

Would have been cool to include these uber rare JDM only MX-5s...

I really like the styling on that first one.
Heck, I'd seriously consider buying one in real life.

If japan can make pretty cars like that, why do they sell ugly ones?
 
I often wonder about Mazda, they always give me the vibe of having some of the best designers and engineers in the business. But then something goes wrong, my guess is that businesspeople get involved. I do love my Mazdas, but I feel like they should always be better.

Okay rant aside, this one is a serious headscratcher, especially for a game that prides itself on having interesting, little known cars.

How bout a forgotten Mazdas DLC? :D
 
Honestly, I didn't even know they made such.

I thought all Miatas were convertible. That actually makes the car look masculine!

The first picture, the red coupe, that does look good, if that was Race Modified it'd be a winner...
 
They're interesting cars, but very rare, and hard to track down. They came in 4 configurations & 3 styles known as Type S, Type A, & Type E. The press release for this car has an interesting tidbit though. It notes that the production numbers for the Type A & Type E are 200 & 150 totaling 350. It doesn't touch on the Coupe/Type S though.

Mazda HQ has an example of a Miata Coupe & other concepts...They bring it out to certain shows (i.e. the red NB Coupe photo was taken at SEMA, the yellow NA Coupe was taken at an auto show during the Miata's anniversary).

All PD has to do is photograph & laser scan the outside as the interior, engines, etc are identical to the convertible's. They already have most of the data.

I'm pretty sure a couple of phone calls from KY to Mazda HQ can arrange that...PD got access to other rare concept cars like the Isuzu. I don't see how these little Mazdas would be any different.

Me too! I was planning on buying a Coupe and turbocharging it...I wasn't happy they kept it a limited Japanese only run.
 
It would be great to get a new car pack DLC in the new year... a mazda forgotten dlc would be ace 👍
