20 Million.... is it worth it?

I've denied myself a couple of prime motors in the UCD recently, the Toyota 1 being one.

I'm also holding off buying the Mazda and the Peugeot race cars in the new car dealer.

I've amassed a virtual fortune of just over 17 million, and I'm holding off buying until I hit 20....

My question is..... is it worth waiting? I suppose you get a trophy, and that's it?

I don't want any of the cars for 20M.... they look like a rip off.

So should I go and splurge my hard earned (and if so, any ideas!!?)
 
if you want those old 66 and 67 race cars you should get tickets instead
 
Well I got a Ford Mark IV from a trade (long time ag people) and it was just such a fascinating car! It's for the car lover's, I love to drive it just to drive it. I'm not sure about the XJ13 (Which you can win?) and the Ferrari can be a difficult one (depends on your own driving skills) for you can "practice" with it in a license test around Tokyo R246.

Or the coloured X1s if your into that. Up to but I suggest the Mark IV if our going to buy one of them. 👍

The Mazda is a magnificent car. I don't own one but seeing if roar in Remote Races and online it looks like a blast.

EDIT: Or do what the guy above just said. But that can involve some tricky trading.
 
I find myself in this situation often, although maybe not to the extent of 17mil...

If it were me, I'd keep going for 20m and buy that gorgeous 330 P4...

But if you're looking to splurge, then I'll recommend you a few of my favorites:

Peugeot 908 (Great fun to drive, handful below 4th gear, but its exciting)
Any Ferrari or Lamborghini you don't have
McLaren F1 can be a hoot for the same reason as the 908
Lexus LF-A (Great for speed and playing around with when bored, noise!!!)

I hope that helps a little, I respect you for having the discipline to save up that much money :bowdown:

Just a tip, before you buy a car you should check if it's winnable or not, for example, the Toyota 7 you want, you can win it in Like the Wind in B-Spec and A-Spec will get you the Minolta Toyota 88C-V Race Car '89. Don't waste 4m they aren't worth it :)

So there's no "bells, whistles and fanfare" when you get to 20 then? No super duper hidden prize? You just stop getting more credits??

The 20M cars mentioned just don't look worth it. I bet you can't sell them on if you don't like them either! And now trading has gone...... it's a gamble, isn't it? Spend 20M on a car you really can't get on with.... and can't get rid of.... all that effort for nothing! :sick::ouch:
 
I'm actually looking forward to buying a coloured x1, so I can get the 'penniless' trophy :D
 
Well you can get rid of the car, just won't get any money out of it. It's all your coice remember that. Collecting Le Mans cars or rare cars that are around 900,000 can be something you cand do with the money.

That's good point... if it tops out at 20M (exactly) that is a good way to get two trophies in one go!

Buy a F1, the F10 would be my choice, or an X1 for that trophy.
 
Suggestion:
Upon reaching 20mill, save your data buy that 20mill car, drive it & if you don't like it then restore. get another one do all over again. that way you can drive any car you wish you can have.

'Tis this be a joke? I don't take jokes very well. Well if your not joking, how about what it's actually called in the NCD, Eunos. I think... It's a Mazda.

I didn't realize the trophy existed until I was at around 1m credits :(
Now I just want to finish up buying the few racing cars I don't have, then it's on to the 20m x1 woo hoo!!!
for the record, I have the vettel and carbon already, so I'm looking forward to a big money purchase!!

a eunos is a maita, just like an integra is an RSX, or a mazda 6 is an atenza and so on and so on and so on

different badge-ing for different regions.
 
One that always used to get me was that what I knew to be an Infiniti G35 or G37 was branded as a Nissan Skyline in the game. Before, I had only associated the Skyline name with the R33's R34's etc. :odd:

Whats bad is that PD has a Miata, an Eunos, an MX-5, and a Roadster, all made by Mazda, some the same years, most of them the same body style. I can't really even tell most of them apart. If there was a memory game with different pictures of Mazda's on them I would be screwed. :crazy:

3 of the 20 million cars are winnable..Redbull, GT40,Xj13 66', I like the way the Lamborghini Miura Bertone drives( fun car might not help you in events though) It takes corners on two wheels. You may need the Chapparal 2J for the historic cup for both A and B if your having trouble. The Mazda 787B is a beast for most races.

I'd get the Peugeot 908 and Mazda 787B. That's just me though.

the Mazda MX-5 is identical to the miata in every way... just re-named for different markets
the Eunos Roadster was built on the MX-5/Miata platform, as Eunos was an experimental company in Japan and was to mazda what lexus is to toyota and infinity is to nissan

Not per se, no.

However, once you hit 20 million, you can then purchase one of the obscenely expensive 20 million dollar cars, and earn the "Penniless" trophy.

If that purchase is a Ford Mark IV Race Car, a Ferrari 330 P4 Race Car, or a Jaguar XJ13 Race Car, and you then enter and win one of the Historic Cup races (I suggest Cote d'Azur), you then get the "Dream Race" trophy.
