Wasn't sure if this was covered somewhere, but I didn't see any posts about it.
Cliff Notes: You get % reward based on when you start a race, not when you finish.
With the new suspend feature offered in Spec 2.0, you can now finish an endurance race with many days separating between when you start the race and when you finish.
I started the B-Spec 24 Hour Nurburgring race, and due to some unfortunate timing and system issues, I had to back up my HDD and buy a new PS3. After I restored my new PS3 with my old PS3 data, I was able to resume the race from when I performed the backup.
When I started the race, I had the 200% payout increase but obviously there was at least one day where I didn't log into the game. But when the race finished and I got the reward, it was still 200%. Pretty cool PD.
When I got back to the main menu, I got the notification that my reward had dropped to 150% or something.
