Round #3 it is. now this week the thunder will strike Nürburgring.

Here are the complete settings for the Round:

Arcade Mode Settings (Options):
Race Laps: 5 Laps
Tyre Wear: Mild
Driving Assists: Free
Penalty: None
Time Limit: None

Driving Options:
Transmission: Free
Driving Aids: Free
Tyres: Free
A.I Cars Level: Free

Quick Tune-up:
Power: 0%
Weight: 0%
Top Speed: Free
Driving Aids: Free
Transmission: Free
Tyre Type: Racing
Tyres: Free

The results screen that pops up right after finish dissapears quite fast, so be ready to save it...(take photo & such).

You have one (1) week to submit your time to me (PM). From this Monday to next Sunday (24/7).

Oh great! 10 laps at the ring. Should I even bother ?

I will try to atleast silver the nurburgring super liscence test. But not tonight. I am running Lemans endurance for the next couple of days. You know, getting closer to day 1394. ;)
 
Changed the Race lenght from 10 laps to 5 laps.

I was calculating some and made this decision just to make the races about the same lenght. around the 40 minutes. 10 laps at the ring would take about 80 mins...

I had a couple of fun runs today. I feel they're pretty good results. I can still cut alot of time off. I had 2 different pit options. A 1 pit race and a 2 pit race. Both with it's plus' and minus'. Both about the same.
 
I'm gonna go nice and hard on this track, no last place for me this week!

Those two guys haven't submitted both weeks, have they even posted?
 
im afraid im yet to tame the ring as yet in GT4, which gives everyone else a chance to catch up in the championship.
 
I just amazed myself by knocking off another 18 seconds. I won't say my time just yet. I'll keep you guys wondering. :trouble:

I´ve cruised around the track this week and I think this race can be won by anyone...

Its diffrent in some way...(I know its the ring) ;)

I gonna give this race more time compared to the rest of the schedule.

I rank this race the most honourable race of the season so I´m aiming on winning it

So can we make contact with the AI here since its so narrow? I know not to just blatenly use them as a wall but I'm having trouble finishing my first sections because I keep tapping the AI (and they are NICE taps, nothing brutal). So are u guys pitting once twice or thrice?

Well since everyone seems to be asleep, I decided to give my best effort here at the ring, and really I have learned a TON, yet I still feel like I know little. Anyway, I found a nice groove to settle into, even after I screwed up a bunch of times, I could still manage some expected times for each lap and general section, u know...the whole "Well for lap 1 I need/should get X time" and I generally did. I did manage my first 200 point victory in the process!! YES!! I set the AI to +10 (for drafting) and put them on RSS's. SO the replay was great, with the Corvette, Zonda, Dodge etc. race cars and me...DRAFTING THE HELL out of them for the first part of the first lap. Well here's my stats and unless I find more time that I am not expecting this is probably my final time, but who knows....

Mercedes CLK Touring Car, 5 Laps At Nurburgring
Running at 310 Top Speed on RM (Front) and RS (Back)
I pitted at the end of lap 2 and lap 4
My best lap time was 6:37.448
This is also my second time COMPLETING the event,
which I beat my previous (warm up) by just under 30 sec.

P.S. Bleurabbit7, u have been really putting up some sweet times here in the DTM, when u gonna be moved to D2 dude?!? Nice work lately.
 
AI contact should be kept to a minimum. If a contact happens, it should not be used to your advantage (i.e. using them to help you make a corner). My opinion anyways.

Lately, I've been doing a 2 pit race. Laps 2 and 4. I might run another 1 pit race to see what I can get.

As far as Div2, ha. I can only wish. My WRS times are crap. Except for this week. I feel I'm doing good this week.

Fastest lap is 6:30.073, RS's all around. Top Speed set at 310km/h.
 
This really surprises me rabbit, You still have a TAD bit faster lap than I do. I put on RS/RS for the last lap (same pit schedule as u too) and yet u are in D3.....strange if u ask me...lol. Some people are just better at actual racing, rather than hotlapping I guess. Well I tried it again this morning and I changed 2 things. I made the AI +5 this time and (as stated before) I put on RS/RS for the last lap. The rest of the race I was on RM/RS at 310 top speed. My fastest lap was 6:30.191. I trimmed another 8 seconds overall. I'm happy with these results, I just wonder what u r running rabbit. Time will tell...

Okay, this is really annoying. I am racing in the GT all stars championship which means I can't race in any other event in the GT Mode. Which is fine, I can understand that. But what the heck, it wont even let me race in the arcade mode. What am I to do now? I can't quit the GT All stars in the middle as I am also writing a race report on it. Nor can I race in the DTM championship. I am not getting any practise on this circuit. :crazy:

Do you have a 2nd memory card? If you do, copy the game over to that one. You'll still have your game on the original card, but now you have your other card for online races.

That's what I do. Especially for the WRS. If I didn't, I never have money to buy these cars.
 
well im still yet to set foot on the 'ring in my Astra yet, or the civic in the WRS as yet, plan to do some laps now and later on tonite. So what are the best stratagys going at the moment?

What I've been doing is running on RM/RS's for 2 laps, repeat for another 2 laps, then softs all around for the final lap. Top speed set at 310km/h. I think I had AI set at +7.

If you're using a steering wheel, hold on to it tight. Also highly recommended for great fun. :)
 
Only 2 attempts and the second one was much more slower while I made less mistakes.
Pit stops after each lap because I use the racing-soft.
I think no points for me this week due to the fact the ring is new for me.
Though I like it a lot I must say.

Done and done. I finished GT all stars and bought a new memory card so that this mix up never happens again.

Ran my first couple of races tonight listening to dark side of the moon.Hehe. I am using auto so I didn't really have to concentrate on the engine sound. Fastest lap - 6'49.278 (you guys are fast!!!) I finished my race during Any Colour You Like. ;) Just before brain damage begins.

EDIT- Improved overall time by 20 sec. Fastest lap now 6'42.443 Time submitted
 
Nice race there everyone. Jump, you had me blocked and took the checkered flag. 👍 👍 I find this course very fun indeed.
