The front end looks almost exacly like a Ferrari 550.

They've actually made it uglier ... I didn't think it was possible. And I have to disagree with the F550 comment. They both have headlights, a grill, an air scoop, and break cooler ports / fog light housing. They are as much the same as any other two cars.
 
I think it would look better in black. Otherwise it looks OK, worse than the C5 of course, better than the 550, (IMO).
 
i wish they would go back to a design similar to the 706 or C5.. it's still a nice car. and i agree that all corvettes look better in black..
 
Man, I can see it now the Doge Viper Vs. The Chevy Vette all over again!

Well i dont have anything against the engine its just the exterior styling they were trying to make it all futureistic (IMO) and they went a bit crazy I guess and made it a bit too sharp. too sharp and bad back. I have seen this car in person many times. Go to my "site" if you wanna see the pictures.

*EDIT* OH and the interior is great IMO.
 
I can't see any major simmilaritys to the 550 and I think it looks nice, too bad i'll probably never see one. I only just saw my first C5 last week.
 
No! I liked the look of all Corvettes up until this one. I still love the engines, etc, but it just looks plain ugly. Reminds me of an RX8, which isn't bad, but Corvette shouldn't have went there.

What is happening to cars this year? They're coming out uglier than ever before!

Where do you live, under a rock? (joking). I've see oh so many C5s and they're awesome. Although I like the new C6 even more. Its kinda broken the mold for Corvette. I do see what Camaro was saying about it looking like the 550, although I was saying the same thing about it looking like the 360 Modena in the headlights mainly. I do think it is a good design, and if I had the opportunity (read "cashflow") to buy one I definately would.
 
i coulda sworn somebody posted something about viper vs corvette... but i guess not.. so i'll shut up now :)

It looks hardly anything like the 550, to be honest. Reminds me more of an RX8, if anything. But I suppose that's just me.

I hope its not. THey should fix the hood scoop and make it a bit more cruved rather then it being all sharp. Anyone know what this thing is like in the wind tunnel? Must be a lot of reduced drag hopefully with its sharp cruves.
 
I hate the color, but that is one fine looking machine! 500HP Corvette? About damn time!
 
The colour? I hate the body. It's just, I don't know, not good at all. I would like to see different angles though, as some angles look horrible on the other later models, too.
 
Jimmy look at it in person ( THe C6 not the new ZO6) and its looks almost perfect meaning excelllent in desigin and then you go to the back and it STINKS! Oh and it is also a bit narrow. the car needs to be wider. Oh I saw another one on the streets today doing about 85. I think there was a corvette rally AGAIN since I saw a but load ZOOM by!!

My thoughts exactly! Great, more power, that's cool, and the new suspension is probably good too------But i couldn't stand to drive something that looked like that! :yuck: I never thought i'd see an ugly Vette, but they did it! Good going GM! I can't wait to see how hideous the Reborn F-bodies are gonna be.....:rolleyes:

My thoughts exactly. But, even if it was a hideously ugly car, I still wouldn't care, it's got a 500hp engine. That's enough power to beat pretty much anything in a straght line.

I'm eagerly awaiting tests of this beast! I want to see how it handles!
 
well, since its a ZO6, we can expect kickass handling along w/ striaght line performance.
