Not bad. I'm not really a fan of the new cadillacs other than the CTS-V Which deserves mucho credit. But this isn't that bad of an idea. I think they should have gone the way of the big boys and put a supercharged LS2 or Ls6 in there, but then they really wouldn't have many selling points on the new Z06...so yeah.

A Cadillac mating with an old-style Mercedes-Benz SLK Kompressor. That's what I first thought about this machine without seriously thinking about it. I'll admit. The past few years, Cadillac really turned around its image completely. Even sometimes, I think the "grandfatherly" cars of then were better. Other than that, I've never been a big Caddy fan. Last Cadillac I seen that I liked was either the Cien, or the ill-fated Cadillac Northstar LMP effort.

I actually got to see this when I worked down in Warren at General Motors. It was pretty cool during pre production.

How could you possibly complain about that car? 440hp and I promise you it's faster then a Corvette, although GM would never tell you that.

Well it weights another 600 + lbs

I don't know about that

The cadi's stuck with a 6 speed auto
The c6's got the 2 gearing packages for their 6 speed manual

Not to mention the C6 has 4.5 0-60's under it's belt or better
The Cadi's still in the "We're sub 5!" catagory.
It'll be a good matchup, i'll want to see who comes out on top.

Oh now looking back at the stats I see they detuned it from the prototype. I remember my boss saying they were afraid that the XLR would be better.

Either way, I really like the new direction that Cadillac has taken. They have really up'ed the ante and are doing a great job of refreshing their image.

Hell, how many rappers out their own a Escalade?

If I could afford a Caddy, I'd buy one in a heart beat.

Excellent work Cadillac! 👍

On a side note, I'm really disapointed in Cadillac's representation in GT4. :grumpy:

Finally, the XLR gets the power it has deserved for so long. I've always thought the XLR has had great potential as a sort of GT and Roadster crossover vehicle, but it lacked the power, especially for it's price (320hp is crap for a $100,000 CAD+ performance car). If the other V cars have been any indication, the XLR-V should be very fast.

Whoa John you are on GTP in the daytime now! :D

Anyways yeah thats what you think when you see the PICTURES of the car but when I saw it in person I really was just speechless! It looked hardly like the SLK!

I agree with you 100% there man! And I bet just about EVERY ROCK star and RAP star has a Escalade! I flip through the channels and see MTV Cribs where they showcase famous peoples houses and on just about EVERY show they have a Escalade!

As am I, though the one car that's in is pretty damn good - I've put more A-Spec miles on it than anything else for sure.
