2006 Formula GT Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix. March 13-19.
Circuit: Twin Ring Motegi Road Course
Length: 2.98 miles.
Laps: 64

GT Mode / Extreme Hall / Formula GT Championship / Twin ring motegi race.

64 laps of this tricky circuit, a nnumber of elevation changes and fast straights means this one will be a close one.

ARG, I don't like this track Just not going to be my week I guess. Though you never know, could pull something out of a hat or something . Just going to have to go out and turn laps "and" keep it on the paved areas .

ISoS reports of high 1'24s-low25's in early testing.

so far im still running my nordschliefe based set up altering the final gear only for motegi. it took me a moment to get used to fgt's again. i let sato (my b-spec buddy) run some laps and when i started driving the ghost kept appearing at the apex and id out drive him on the exit since ai doesnt use WoT :|

Ran my test and setup runs yesterday. Just starting to get the hang of this track. The second hairpin area is the one place thats giving me all the touble, turning onto the narrow pavement section, either i go wide and into the grass/marbles or hit it right. Just need to get the braking point nailed down, the rest of the track isn't so bad (except my driving)

I've already run this race twice so far I'm still not happy with my time though so i'll probably give it one last go on the weekend sometime.

Did my first race this evening. Not to bad for me on this track, only a couple of good off's into the kitty litter and a couple of minor slips and slides.
Fast lap - 1'24.344 Saw a 1'23.xxx in final practice

Will prob. give it another go this weekend sometime.

im going to do my races today to ease the pain of not being able to watch the 12 hours of sebring

driver reports inconsistant front end and hard to match pracitise times

car reports if another ai shoves it nose where the sun dont shine again theres going to be h!ll to pay.

[edit - thats my race done. time will be submitted in a moment. my df wheel was really annouying this round. id run wide half the time because id go for a downshift in the middle of the corner and not get it. the other half, who knows, but my laptimes were all over the place just like the front wheels.]

Shame about missing sebring. I feel your pain, but only kind of. I'm probably not going to be able to see the Malaysian GP until tomorrow afternoon.

It troubles me to inform you that Team Robison Racing will be withdrawing it's Guiness Triumph racing team effictive immediately. It seems that our principal has squandered all of our funds on loose women and frivolities such as a new home on the Isle of Wight. We regretfully relinquish any claims that we may have on any Television money, appearance funding or travel allowances. Hopefully we can get a rich German soft drink magnette to purchase our garages as a training academy(and write off) for his junior team! Until then....
