I'm not too impressed by the numbers, but it looks pretty nice. I don't know how much it is in U.S. dollar, but it seems little pricey.

250hp and AWD works for me, although it will be pricey (32k is what I'm hearing).

I've actualy seen one guys. It was the other day and I saw a Golf with exhausts and extra badges like that. It was the same colour too. It must have been in testing because it had a numberplate on the back which hooked over the rear windscreen wiper, it wasn't fixed onto the car.

I'm waiting to see one here in the states, I only live about 5 miles from the VAG of America group. I've seen a bunch of MKV GTI's.

32k? Hmm, same as my 2.0 GTC... And it's FF.. I think it's worth for a AWD with 250hp. And I like the blue color. Just such a nice car.

Not too thrilled about the front but the back is nice, especially with the center exhaust
I'm the opposite. :D I love the front!

and you don't like the center exhausts? :sly:
Nah. I guess that part is pretty cool. I think it's the tail lights that ruins it for me. I didn't like the new Jetta's rear either(and I liked the front). :)

I think the centre exhaust look tacky. Like the renault sport clio it didnt look to good and the front doesnt look sporty enough. However cars always look alot better in person but I prefer the old R32 as I think it had a more masculine look.

It's not FF, it has 4-motion in it.

I've seen one of the last generation ones here. I was walking through the parking lot and it's aggresive treads caught my eye.

Where do you live at? I figured I'd be the first to see one since I'm so close to the American HQ.

I'd rather save my money and buy a regular GTI. Or better yet, get a Mini Cooper S and deal with the loss in practicality.

Lovely car, it's a pity that it isn't an improvement over the previous one. I remember reading that the next R32 would likely be instead a R36 and would have more rear biased AWD system ala new Audi RS4. And it looks worse than the standard Gti upon which it's based.

I'd take the old R32 or the Mk5 Gti instead.

Right outside of Rochester NY. The car was specifically in Heriatta NY at the time. I can't remember if it was a dealer car or not. If I remember right it was in early may.

In terms of appearance, I think it'd look a lot better in another color. The blue just doesn't work well with the silver and black tones on the car. I think it'll look worlds better in black or silver. (German cars always do, anyway)

I like the sound of the "old" R32. I Hope they don´t messed it up.

The same engine is doing his duty in the Audi A3 3.2 and their the sound of the engine is not so beautiful...

The price is to high...

Hope the car gets tested in the "Supertest" of SportAuto soon...
I can tell you after that how fast it goes around the Nordschleife!!! 👍

In Autocar magazine it says it has the same engine as in the previous gen R32 but with FSI technology added, to improve power output and economy. I don't see how the engine could sound different. I'd be surprised if it did.

Ever heard of Sound Engineering?

And the Audi A3 3.2 have the same engine and doesn´t sound as sporty as the "old" R32.

But I hope you´re right and the new R32 sounds like the old. 👍

If the sound is one of the main parts of the car, they shouldn't change it much.

Fingers crossed they won't. :)
