The 911 GT3 Cup is tailor-made for customer motorsport with near-standard vehicles. With its predecessor - the Cup Carrera based on the 996 series - being a high performance and competetive sports car which not only competes in the makes cups but has won various Gran Tourismo championships, the 997 model marks a clear step towards a thoroughbred racing car.

After having gained comprehensive experience with sequential gearboxes in international GT championships, Porsche now offers this technology to customers in the makes cups, beginning with the Porsche Michelin Supercup in 2005.

The 997 911 GT3 Cup is the first works-prepared racing sports car to feature the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB), a unique development by Porsche.

Theres a 998 already??!!

Do you have any linkage please :(

yer, he said 997 not 998! looks really cool! but i don't think it is as fast as the Ferrari F430 GT! but i don't no if they are in the same class!

 @ Vonie and ultrabeat

400 naturally-aspirated horses from a 3.6L flat six, sitting in a 2530lbs. 997...

I saw this model 911 racing over the last 4 days. They look and sound brilliant, great racing too!

I am not going mad!

Thats why its always good to quote, I have gotten caught out by someone who done that to me aswell, kept lying until I found some old history pages that still had the original post on it luckily (BTW I'm not pointing fingers at anyone).

Didn't it apply the "edited by so-and-so...." tag at the bottom of the post?

I would think that the presence of such a mark would add weight to your side of the argument, and that other people in the thread would side with you...(if the quarrel was even that big to begin with...?)

This happened around quite awile ago, around about when GT4 was released (some new member done it)

Yes it did have 'edited by' tag down the bottom, but no one really cared until I finally found the proof, except one other member that also found proof, but overall it doesn't matter now, I just quote more often now for backup reasons now unless its a member I trust.

Love the rims, and the car looks great, but i've seen bigger exhaust on a stock Honda Civic. If i'm going to pay all that money, I atleast want a mean looking exhaust on the car.

I think the problem there is with the Civic, not the Porsche ;)
