The GTsport from Techart is based on the Porsche Cayman S with its main upgrade being an increase in engine capacity from 3.4 liters to 3.8 liters. The engine package also includes upgraded pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft, camshafts, and injection valves. Other Techart items include sport induction pipes, sport airbox, aluminum intake manifold, sport exhaust system, and engine management. The GTsport is visually differentiated from the Cayman S with Techart's Type II aerodynamic kit that includes a front spoiler, side skirt, and a large rear wing. Handling and response have been improved with Techart's Sport Chassis package and the addition of 19" Formula GTS wheels and 19" tires.

Great job by Techart. I'm one that really like the Cayman and this just improves the look and performance of it so much, love it. Want it!

I was just happy to see my first Cayman today.

The wing on that is a little silly, I'll take mine toned down with a twin turbo 3.6 thanks.

I'd go for a 911 C4S and be happier in the knowledge that people don't think I'm a cheapskate.

I think everyone will be envious of the Techart. Regular people will like it because it looks badass and they've never seen one before. Car entusiasts will like it because it's a Techart, and they just happen to know what that is.

Congrats to Techart for creating/releasing the worlds most expensive slow car. With the previous record held by the Cadillac XLR. Observe:

2004 Cadillac XLR $76k 0-60mph = 5.9 1/4mi = 14.4

For 30% of that price I could of bought an SRT-4 and spanked the living hell out of that overpriced POS.

2006 Techart Cayman $138k 0-60 mph = 4.8 sec

I'm sorry but that's worthless, you're paying for the name and the looks which unfortunately comes with a hefty price.

I don't like it. The aerodynamics are too over the top and for the price the performance could be better.

JCE300GT: Sorry but that I could buy car x and spend x amount of money and spank it arguement is old. Caddy or Porsche an SRT-4 with any amount of mods will never be in the same league. One thing money can't buy is class and an SRT-4 just doesn't have it. It's a fast little fun tuner car but that's pretty much it.

Yeah, but this thing should handle pretty good in relation to the 911. Whether that justifies the three-fold increase in price remains to be seen. Besides, the same could be said for any luxury car marque or exotic (read: Ferrari).

Niether, sadly, does the Cadillac XLR, as it is outclassed by both meanings by everything it competes with, barring the Lexus SC430.

I think maybe you misunderstand my meaning...even though you said my point your first sentence. I was simply pointing out that for the amount of money you spend you get little performance--I may have used the SRT-4 as an example but that still doesn't nullify my point which you do share. And besides, I could buy a 911 (which I would over a Cayman) for less money than this Techart Cayman and it will be much faster and a much better base to modify...while still costing you less than this monstrosity.

Agreed, Porsche has the 911 spec'd and price'd the way they are for a reason...the Cayman is only there as a "filler" between the Boxster and 911. Hell I'd rather buy a Cayenne than the Cayman. But I digress...

While it is nice and all, I'd rather be spending my $130K on a new GT3, the "real Porsche," than a souped-up wanabe 911.

Carl.
I like a car that has a skunk color scheme... up next: pigs have learned to fly.

A bit pricey though.

Skunk is black primary with white accent. What the hell kind of inverto-skunks are you guys refering to?

The wing is really awesome
the overall appearance is just top notch
even better than their latest 911 models

since Rinspeed modifies Porsche as well
which company is your favorite? Rinspeed or TechArt?

Although Techart improved it, I still don't like the looks very much, especially the rear deck thing underneath the wing.

In the end, this is still a cockster

Wow, this is sexy! I've been so-so with the styling of the standard Cayman, but this looks great, better than any Porsche so far! Maybe the rear wing is a little large for my tastes, though.

I'm not at all a fan of the way the Cayman looks. This however, I think looks stunning.

Another picture for those, who like me, love this car.
I love the 'fangs' of the front bumper

I guess we do agree. You will have to forgive me because my reading comprehension sucks. Sorry about that.

This thing is stunning...As for the Cayman, I think it's one of the best looking porsches ever.

Now, if I can convince my dad to get one of these in a few years time, I'm throwing a Techart kit on it. :D

P.S Any of you guys ever seen the 40th Anniversary 911 for sale in Australia? I'm still looking for one but no luck yet.
