Sadly, I have no Fact or Fiction for this one. All I'll do is talk about the track in general.
People, Lime Rock Park is my idea of a short track (either this or Adria in Italy). It's not the short track familiar to American oval people (though NASCAR Busch did run some rounds around Lime Rock Park in the past), but it's a thrill ride under 2 miles long. It is in a beautiful setting. And despite giving away the name of the course, it has a park-like nature. Almost like someone took an average park and made a race track around it. And what a job! Track is great for just about any kind of racing. Great for any style of racing ranging from club racing all the way to these world-class GT and prototype race cars. Sometimes, I think the mix of these GT and prototype cars around a track like this is a weird mix. Always thought of this as a club-type racing ciruit. Doesn't mean you can't put together a bunch of $500K+ sportscars around here, though. Last month was all about Le Mans. Now it's back to business in the ALMS. The weather has THANKFULLY subsided here in Southeast Texas. So I may be able to check out racing on CBS if I'm home. If I'm on the road with my parents, then I'll listen to the TV coverage on my Sony Walkman.
Good luck to all teams at Lime Rock Park.
