New facelift on the way for '08, no word on if the new engines made it in...

...It is still argueably one of the better looking cheap cars on the road today, and quite frankly the only thing that would keep me from buying one would be the sub-par engines used in the current models. But if they change them for '08, who knows, maybe it might be a better car overall?

still very nice! I rode in a GT V6 a while back, an 03 or 02 I think and very nice cars! I was surprised. I hear the next ones are rumored to be Rear drive, and there may be a V8! Wouldn't that stir up the market??

Ew. Looks like a Mondeo-Celica.

But, I like it. Arent the current ones rear drive?

My Tiburon in UnderGround2 is silver with white rear lights (look nice), 19'' rims, and Elan headlights, looks very nice.

The "facelift" is done nicely, but isn't this thing ancient? This is looking like the Ford cars I was complaining about. I'm not sure about this car.

as an owner of a 2000 tiburon v4, I like this... too bad interior build quality is probably going to be par with well... a pile of crap...

That may be the problem... It isn't an entirely new car...

I think the chassis still has some life in it, but it is the engines and the rather outdated interior that needed help.

It's a nice facelift. Good thing they didn't call it a replacement, it looks virtually the same - I wish they went a little further.

But isn't this car due for a new model soon?

The interior, though outdated, is kind of nice. It's got "ambience"... something you can't say about most Playskool plastic Hyundais (even the modern, good looking ones).

I'm not sold on the facelift, though... kind of liked the last iteration of the front end a little better.

And they are nice cars... at least, the rear seat makes a little more sense than that tiny space in the back of the new Eclipse... weird, as the Eclipse is a much bigger car...

C'mon, Hyundai, stick a better V6 in there...

You know what would own?

If the V6 version was available as FR.

Even with the older ones. They must be the worst at creating cabin spaces.

I like it. As someone said the front is a bit better on the previous generation but the rest of the car looks great. I hope Hyundai puts a FR drivetrain in it.

It looks much more then a cheap car, but I like the look of it.

Good catch Exige! The wheels on the rear should switch sides. How the hell could they miss that!? And al the people at the photoshoot, they could't get an impact and swith 'em in 5 minutes?

How do you mean switch sides?

Do you mean put the uinscratched insides outside?

Yet again it looks good.

Now make it FR and some good body trims and it might start selling to people who aren't in retirement.

The tread pattern should be "pointing" towards the direction of motion, like the front tires.

As the back set are mounted now, the tread would be channelling standing water towards the middle of the tire, which is completely useless. Switching the left and right wheel sides would fix this problem.

edit What's that middle red light below the number plate?

I wonder how much faster it will be with the new V6, and even then, if they will be able to pair it with the 6-speed manual...?

From the front it looks like an Aston, from the side it's reminescent of the outgoing Cougar, and from the back there's some RX8/S2000 traits...

It's a bit of a melting pot...

Perhaps it's so you get some 'awesome' aqua-planing drift action!

@PR- I can't see the Aston at the front, I'd have said more Mazda, but in traditional Korean style it is abit of a melting pot. But they do it so well!

Rear is well-put together, though the headlights could be changed a bit, perhaps minorly bigger and more aggressive.

Front headlights are oh-so-Viper-SRT10 and the lower-half looks to be a new design all over.

Looks promising, if they can throw in a new engine kudos to Hyundai and Mr.Piaskowski. 👍

IMO, I think the side view looks like the old Mitsu' FTO's.
