2008 Lamborghini Dallas Track & Concorso (Photos up; Hi-Res on Request)

Before I share, seriously...hat's off to LoD & MSR for this year's event. There was only 1 minor incident, but it was easily put aside. Over 60 cars attended today's show, and the back garages were packed with track cars. And there wasn't just Gallardos, there were quite a few other exotics. The amount of Porsches this year turned up in strong force, the rarest being a 996 GT2 and 2 996 GT3 Cup Cars. Ferraris were a bit amiss, though a rare 430 Challenge would appear every once & while. Others included a 348 Spyder, 348 Challenge, a 360 Modena, 360 CS, and an ol' Daytona. And just like last year, there was a wave of C5 Corvettes, except with a multitude of C6 Z06s this year as well. E36 BMWs were also in pretty well numbers. Audi, Ford, & Saleen also had their own top marques at show. And last, but not least, there were a lot of Vipers. Around 7-9 in total.

Unforunately, there are no videos this year. My Kodak battery died, leaving me with the Nikon alone. My buddy Michael, got what he could with his video cam. And yes, we did get to track, though when I said, "got what he could", I meant that his cam. died just shortly after mine leaving him with only videos of the first hour (we tracked on the 2nd and a half). There are some photos, though.

But, the pictures are coming, and this thread will serve as their place holder.

Stunning orange LP640.

1 of 2 Ford GTs. You'll see maybe 1 or 2 shots of the 2nd later.

Seen this one a few times,now. Is a bit louder than your usual 6.0.

Finally, some good shots of this beaut.

Ferrari Daytona.

Il Toro from Oklahoma didn't show, but this guy still represented OK just fine.

1 of 2 Pearl Yellows that showed up. (Yes, that is a weird picture, but I thought it was still worth posting. )

Black LP640.

Maserati GranTurismo. Haven't been lucky enough to see it any colors besides black, yet.

Lingenfelter-tuned Corvette.

A Dodge Viper GTS from last year. He also owns a Miata track car in the same color scheme & license plate.

Shelby Cobra replica. Loud as hell, though. Owner has a real deal back at home.

Porsche GT3s. These aren't the 2 cup cars. Those went & hid in the back. But 1 of them had a typical Clarkson-like plate.

2 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradales. Were a lot like the 430 Challenge.

BMW E30 M3 from last year.

Badass drift 240. Didn't move at all, though, during the whole event.

Audi R8s.

Porsche Cayman S Porsche Design Studios Edition. Really pushed this one around the track.

Old Stingray Corvette.

Classic Lamborghinis. Our silver friend is an Islero whom I've seen since 2005. The Espada is a friend of the Islero owner and is one I first saw at ICF 2007.

Maseratis.

Saleen Mustang.

Old, classic Porsche.

Acura Integra Type R. Clean. Being tracked. That's got to be a rare sight.

Ruf rTurbo down in the paddock. Didn't move the whole event, either.

Ferrari 360 Modena heading towards the villas.

New Audi. (S5 I think.)

Unique Gallardo Spyder.

A very cool "GT3 RS". This actually started life as a regular GT3, and went through a complete change into a GT3 RS.

2nd Pearl Yellow Murcielago.

A nice, and rare, red Murcielago.

And now, the last 2 special cars before I post the track photos.
First off, this year's event showed off 2 cars that are just as rare as Dryhole's Diablo VTTT. This S7 TT is the only one of its kind. A Pearl White monster that is now finally off the market after 2-3 months. The crowds were just amazed by this car, and it's amazing how quiet it is at idle.

That Espada is gorgeous. I can imagine all the money he has probably thrown into that restoration project.

That red Murcielago is the business as well.

And the last car, is an esp. rare car in the states. This is SP. Engineering's famous Diablo GT.

Seriously, this car just sounds so mean. It wasn't tracked because SP wants to be extra careful with it, but it's loud enough to make you hold your hears at high revs. Never seen anything like this.
But at the end of the day, it is time for some to head home.
