Bah looks weak and only about %10 as agressive as the outgoing model. Plus, I'm not a fan of the "Vauxhall hip" as seen on this and the new corsa and a lesser extent the astra. :yuck:

Jon.
So do I. More so the pre-bodged face-lift one:
I actually prefer the face lifted, mainly due to the bonet crease (Can't stand flat expanses of bonnet).

The newer version of the Vectra/Aura that just hit this year is MILES ahead of the predecessor that was shown before. The new design looks to be a bit more of an evolution, and clearly it looks as though they've had to make some concessions for the American market, given the increasingly rounded look. Overall, it isn't bad... Its no Mondeo, but it will do...

To me it just looks, well bad. Like a baby toy or something. Not something I'd drive.

If I had just read the last two comments, I'd think that Americans are ruining cars for European enthusiasts...

Looks like mulled over arse, but the best word to describe it is the one that has fit every vectra before this one. Repmobile

If those undisguised spyshots are anything to go by, I think I'm going to cry. I can't find a good reason for hating the look of it, but I just do. Maybe it's because it looks kinda bloated. The rest of Vauxhall's line up has a hard edged, chiseled look. This is just too bloated.

I agree, Vauxhalls should be angular, not this new curvyness badly stuck onto an angular body.....

MORE PHOTOS!

Its getting there... I like the interior!

I like it. I'm not so sure about the trunk lid, but that could be foam (we can hope...). They are also going to want to put some covers on those lights. Other than that, the exterior looks pretty nice. The old one looks good, but this looks very refined, like it could play in a higher league.

The interior is pretty sweet. I would have to say that the instrument cluster looks exactly like the one in my GTI, but turned upside down:tdown:. This aside, the interior appears to be well done. It looks like there is some cool stuff going on there.

Saturn/Opel/whatever is getting there. Let's hope they continue their climb.

I actually like the layout on the GM one better, but it does look like they ripped off VW!

Funny thing happened when Saturn became part of the Opel/Vauxhall family... Saturn is now supposed to be the "VW Competitor" of sorts at GM, being a high-class alternative to the "sporty" Pontiacs and "average" Chevrolets.

It is certainly a step forward for the surprisingly good Aura. I just hope they keep the fancy leather as an option... Its Nice!

Opel is a "VW Competitor" in Europe, so it's quite understandable that Saturn takes over that role in North America, since the differences between the Opel and Saturn models are little.

The interior looks a lot better than what I'm used to from Opel, only the clocks still look ugly to me.
The lines of the exterior look promising. I still have my doubts though, since Opel wants to be associated with design these days. They overdone it with their previous models by adding too many styling elements. That resulted in a change of product range from dull cars into hideous cars.
