Following the "Are you ashamed of your body?" thread, I thought I'd start a new one where we can share our New Year's resolutions. I always figured I should be fit by the time I turn 20. Now I figure I should be 250 pounds by my birthday, so that gives me 7 months to lose 50 pounds before I leave my teenage years. That's about all I have to do as far as the whole turn-a-new-leaf cliche goes.

So, how about GTPlanet and its userbase? What are all of you planning?

Become a millionaire.

failing that I would probably have to go for giving up vodka-red bull.

Join a gym again. I haven’t been for a year since I started full-time work and I’m not feeling too great so some physical activity is on the cards.

Other than that I have no big ones. Just hope it’s a good year and at the end of it I have made progress. In other words I want to end next year better off than I am today.

Try at school more. In 08', I must admit I didn't try my hardest at school and put all that much effort into some work. Even though I got the scholarship with much effort, I did get some pretty rubbish grades. In 09', I really do want to take advantages of the opportunities I have been given.

I intend to secure a promotion at work (into a managerial position), visit the US and get married, in that order :)

Start winning some serious money playing poker.

Do more workout.
Try to lose the shame I have of singing with my parents at home, or public (especially if I what to sing in a band).
Search for a voice coach.
Form a band.
Take Drivers license.
And much more

ace my degree with a first
try my hand at more practical crafts
get my second car photography book printed
get a design job in the area so people can start seeing some decent graphics around here

My list is fairly realistic, I think:

  1. Get A Job
  2. Pay Off the Credit Card
  3. Form A Solid Work-Out Routine
  4. FINALLY Take A Vacation

No big rush to get through stuff, but it seems like 2008 is ending pretty cleanly, so a fresh start shall be nice for a change.

I resolve to use the baanhammer in a more humane fashion. It will still result in baanination, but in a nice, fluffy way.

- having a surgery (operation, whatever it is in English) in January, hope it'll go well
- getting my drivers license
- getting a new squat rack as soon as possible to start a new training program
- get better at playing both bass and guitar
- being a member of a band as either guitarist or bassist
- treat my girlfriend as good as I did in te past year (Which, if I'm not retarted, shouldn't be a problem...)
- finish high school with high grades

There's too much to list up, but these are the main things :)

Get my life back together.
Lose some more weight rather than depending on my job to do it.
Finish my project car.

Turn my once-muscle now-flab into once-flab now-muscle.
Become known as an all round good and helpful guy on these forums.
Advance to 3rd year of apprenticeship early.

A good heart these days is hard to find!!! (inspired by that avator)

Mine are
Workout a bit more to tone up
Buy a house
Continue to kick arse at work
meet more girls/people

Pretty much sums it up..

I don't normally make them, because I usually can't think of anything important enough. But this year, I can. So, here are mine for 09:

- Get a job (even a temporary one) on a newspaper
- Get more photos/articles published places
- Replace my car
- Get into astrophotography (recently started developing a big interest in astronomy, and much of it due to amazing photography)
- Finish writing up my Route 66 trip "book"
- Continue to work hard on my Masters

Three things I would like to accomplish.

- Find a better paying and more rewarding job.
- Get a place of my own.
- Propose.

-Pass my first year of Uni.
-Get far, far better at MATLAB.
-Bench 100Kg for 4 reps.
-Begin training for half marathon distance.

1. Get at least all B's on my report card for all forthcoming quarters and the whole year. So I can begin summer vacation alive.
2. Finish the symphony I've been writing by the end of the year.
3. Have an amazing summer, in which I don't just sit around, I hang out with friends and have a blast. A.k.a. a real summer.
4. Make first or second chair all-district band so I can audition for all-state.
5. Make the cut for the preliminary round of the Falcone Festival.
6. Get my small wind ensemble together and actually play something.
7. Get my driver's permit once I'm old enough.
8. Take a train-watching trip to Petersburg at least once.

:-)

1. Finish building my first computer(Money is in a CD account so its now a slow work in progress project).
2. Get my drivers License.
3. Learn standard to the extent that I can easily drive in one.
4. Get my IT A+ certification passing with a 85 or higher.
5. Get a 5 year or younger aged standard car.
6. Meet new friends.
7. Get a job that involves IT(I might not get this but 10 bucks per hour would be nice).
8. Get a laptop for non-gaming use.

1. Quit smoking cigarettes
2. Slow down a bit w/ the marijuana
3. Get to the gym more often
4. Have my Bachelor's Degree by this time next year
5. Go out skiing more often (at least 10 times)

If GT5 comes out in 2009, forget it: The sledge, dead blow, drilling, ball pein, and banhammers will be in full e.f.f.e.c.t.

I'm going to eat healthy and get in shape, once the leftover Christmas goodies are all finished.

After this morning my plans for 2009 consist of losing pretty much everything I own and then killing myself.

I've got to the point where I really don't care anymore.
