I reminds me of the Toyota Tundra...and that's not a good thing. Why are big trucks becoming goofy looking all of a sudden? I mean the only one out right now that looks half way decent in the Sierra.

Those lights will take some getting used to. But I think the story of the leak is quite hilarious. I think this takes the cake for worst held secret in the automotive industry in a while.

Other than that front, I think it looks really clean and quite nice. But then again, a true trucker won't buy his truck on looks alone.....

I don't think the Silverado and the 2009 F-150 are all that bad, but I understand your point; Anything barring some kind of resemblance to the Tundra is going to be ugly no matter what.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this one has an IRS, right? But not an all-new frame?

I hope they fix the interior too, thats been in need of a drastic re-do for a while now...

The frame in the Ram is newer than the one in the F150, and the frame was hardly a major problem with the truck. IRS may make it seem all new.
At the same time, I think the front end is cleaner than it has been in the past 6 years. Much smoother and better looking (of course, at that angle it is hard to tell). Still ugly, but it ain't the Tundra, at least. Or the Silverado, for that matter (note, the Silverado will still probably be the best truck on the market, depending on how the F150 turns out. But damn if it isn't ugly).

From the front, it seems like Dodge took a couple of ideas from the new Mitsubishi Lancer.

I like this. It definitely is recognizable as a Ram, even without the grille. The fender bulges are great.

Better question is when will they stop growing... When Americans stop growing? :scared: :dopey:

Pretty much but hell the price and the fact two of me could sit in the drivers seat means I'll never own one. xD

The Sierra is quite expensive, I'll give you that. And the only way Americans on the average are going to quit being so large is when we become European .

Someone is about to get fired.

Haha, they just changed the picture!

Maybe its just me, but I could see that being a photoshopped F-150. The sides look similar to the current ones.

Hmm... I can see what you guys mean but I think it's a coincidence. I know there are some great photoshop people but the rest of it like the whole front end looks real to me.

I don't think you're going to mistake it for a 2009 F-150:

Hmm, not too bad. Though, I kinda like our blacked out 2006 Ram 1500 a bit more in terms of exterior looks, at least in some aspects. I really hope they improved interior materials though. While everything works and doesn't fall apart inside our Ram, the materials just look and feel soo cheap.

And now that I look at the the grill of the new Ram looks smaller. I wonder how it will look all body color with blacked out headlight housings...

Erm Ford put a Gillet grill on their F150? Wow.

Yeah.... That's a little odd. The "bold" look doesn't quite fit with the "built Ford Tough" attitude.

Now use it like how a truck should be. I'm wondering how that particular truck will work in the dirt.....

I like the new Ram?

I mean, It's sleeker, smoother, doesnt' try to get up on your face and yell at you like other of Dodge's designs, (Caliber, Nitro) and overall looks well put-together.

I like the new design. This new design would look better in sport trim, though. The design almost makes the truck look angry. I can't see a Tundra resemblance, though.

I think it's because the grille flares out at the bottom. That's all I see, though, as there isn't a huge expanse of sheetmetal above the headlights.

I mean, come on, trucks are more than grilles. Neat, though, that they're using coils and a four-link live axle this time around. Chrysler, once the bastion of leaf springs, is now putting coils where no coil has gone before! under the bed of a full-size truck!

What will coil springs do to the load capacity of the truck?

Didn't Ford do it for this last F-150 (I'll admit that I'm not up on truck specs)? If anything, it seems like their load-carrying ability increased...

One word, ugly. I apply that to the current RAM and the RAM before that.

Prefer the 3rd gen Ram design myself, along with the SRT-10. God thats a nice Ram, but this, this looks strange for some reason. Could be the two-tone paint.

I loved the Ram when the new changes were proposed in 2001. It was a meaner-looking truck with plenty of bold styling. Texas is "Truck Country," so I've seen a good number of Rams ruling the road. I think this new Ram looks pretty nice. However, my thoughts of this new Ram are kind of like my views of the latest Accord- great looking machine, but somewhat disappointed in its looks. The way the grill and crosshair grill protruded itself from the rest of the truck was classic up front. My personal preference with automobiles is style. This aspect accounts for looks, overall style, and that sort of thing. Dodge has usually had a way (in my view) of making great-looking automobiles injected with some attitude. There's usually no overaggressive cars made by this group. This truck's style has headlights kind of like the late 1990s Dodge trucks. Only that the grill is larger, bolder, and more aggressive than the late 1990s Dodge trucks.

I'm giving this truck 88% approval, but still a bit disappointed in its style. I like its looks, but not to any extreme degree.

Bland, boring, and in my opinion stupid. And obvioulsy since its a Dodge you can count on the interior build quality along with the exterior build quality to be sub-par--and that is done on purpose. You want a "nice" place to be in AND you want performance you buy a Ford, Toyota, or a Nissan,--you want just a truck to do random stuff and price is an issue you buy a Chevy or Dodge.

At least the only thing positive I can say is that this one isn't as offensive to my eyes as the last 3 generations. And the IRS while idiotic for a tow/haul vehicle would at least mean the new SRT10 will handle very well.

Unless this new Dodge uses a [] Boxed frame it won't matter how "new" its frame is--it will still be inferior to Nissan and Ford's who have a Boxed frame. "C" [ frames are weak and aren't durable at all--and that is what Dodge (and GM?) have at the moment.

I don't think you're going to mistake it for a 2009 F-150:

Awsome, thats the first uncamo'd pic I've seen of the '09. I'm glad they didn't change it too radically as I think the current model is quite good. It just needs minor touch-ups and a new engine range. Diesel anyone?
