How did they manage to get back in? Qualified last (not just in class, but last overall behind all the GT2s) 30 seconds behind the class leading Corvette, and only managed 1 race lap last year.

It's the Le Mans series not 24. I swear it was only the series that got released?

No this is the 24 entry list. The LMS entry list was announced sometime last week.

Just pointing that out, there...

That's an understatement!

Dome Racing Team - Dome S102 Judd - Sebastien Philippe

Wow great to have this car back on the track.

This will probably be the best Le Mans race in years. At least the wide variety of cars will be interesting. Wasn't too long ago when almost everyone in GT2 was a porsche or Ferrari

Apologies if this is a stupid question but… why is only one driver listed per car? I wasn’t aware that any one driver is considered more important than the other drivers who drive the same car during the 24 hours.

LMP1 is set to be a great race between the Pugs & Audi. LMP2 will have the Acuras at LM for the 1st time. GT2 would be really interesting with the Corvettes, BMW, Porsche & Ferrari. I don't think the Gentilozzi Jaguar should have made it in...

BTW, I'm quite curious to see Nigel Mansell & Giancarlo Fisichella (LMS & possibly LM) in sports cars...

They won the Asian Le Mans Series race last year at Okayama.

There are no stupid questions.

'Driver nominations. For its communications requirements, the ACO asks each team to nominate at least 1 driver per car who cannot be replaced (except in the case of force majeure sent to the Sports Committee). In this case, the withdrawal will lead to the driver being removed from the list of those who can be selected for the 2010 Le Mans 24 Hours.'

EDIT - I'm also editing the first post when I get full driver lineups...I just put up Audi's & Jaguar's.

Wow looks like each class is going to be exciting to watch this year including GT1, which will still probably have a C6.R winning, but the field looks awesome.

I don't think GT1 will be particularly interesting, Luc Alphand's cars should have this one secured. But it's Le Mans, you never really know :)

But LMP1 and GT2 entry lists are just ... awesome! And I think the Oreca 908 with Panis should be considered as a very strong competitor in this edition. And that gives us at least 10 - yes, 10 - top contenders. Nice! :D

This.

If there is one car I'm welcoming back, it's the Dome. Here's to hoping it'll perform better this time 👍

Thought Pescarolo would give it another go with the 908 after last year.

Maybe not after that pit incident with the factory 908s ;)

Nice to see an Oreca 908 with Panis at the wheel 👍
Also good to see the AMR's going at it again, they came so close to the podium last year, biting at the heels of the diesels.
Definitely will be cheering on the Jag in GT2 as well.

They won the Asian Le Mans Series race last year at Okayama.
But chances are, they'll muck it up again this year. Really wish Reiter would find a way to the race, as they've had much better luck with the Murcielago. Hell, even a Gallardo in GT2 would be nice for once.

Speaking of which, GT2 should be very exciting. BMW Motorsports, Risi, Flying Lizard, & Corvette Racing should be a great match up.

I'm also putting money on the C6Rs taking GT1 as well, though I'm hoping the Fords become a thorn in their sides.

I'm just answering a question as to how they got an auto entry...Anyway, in case you didn't know JLOC used a Reiter Lambo for the Okayama race. But, I'll agree that their past history is sub-par.

BTW, Dailysportscar thinks they'll enter the new Reiter Murcielago R-SV.

I would have loved to have seen the Vitaphone Maserati in there instead...

Corvette Racing - Chevrolet Corvette C6.R - Jan Magnussen

now thats a huge surprise for me. He said after last years race he wouldnt go again ths year in said car.... cant wait to see him win once again :)

And i hope Tom Kristensen will be ready, most likely he will but he would be out of training compared to the others, and is loosing all the testing atm. :/ a shame, though i dont see Audi competing about the top spots anyways with the R15

I knew that seeing as Reiter is the one Lamborghini contracts to build all their race cars.

I'm referring to the Reiter Engineering team & their own cars they race.

X2, but after the "issue" in 2005, I think the ACO would rather accept any other entry (A GTSR might have had a better chance lol). Maybe Vitaphone didnt have good experiance last year in the Aston...

The McNish/Kristensen fanboy in me hopes the R15 will be a better car this year...

 Where is the Sebring entry list?

Go Audi Sport North America #9 R15 & Highcroft Acura!

May be a dumb question, but why is there no LMP-1 Acura?

"Even though we earned an LMP1 entry after winning the ALMS, given the fact that a petrol-powered car can't really compete against diesels at Le Mans, it made sense for us to take our current chassis and contest LMP2," said Dayton.

"This will be our first flyaway race, our first time in Europe and our first time at Le Mans, so we have a lot to learn. We're not under any false pretences regarding the size of the challenge ahead.

"Tackling an LMP1 victory at Le Mans was not realistic for us this year, but we're very keen to challenge for the LMP2 win."

Basically because they have no hope of winning LMP1 and they are more likely to take LMP2, seeing as there are no factory teams.

I'm not well read up on the rules for Le Mans, but I imagine an entry allows you to enter either class. So, if you recieve a prototype invitation, you can enter LMP1 or 2 and if you recieve a GT invitation you can enter GT1 or 2. But someone else needs to correct me here.
Maybe they can request to enter a different class and the ACO rule on it in a case-by-case basis, rather than there being a specific rule allowing it.

Its nice that the Dome is making a return but one thing I am surprised about is the lack of any Porsche RS Spyder's in LMP2 considering the previous 2 years where these cars dominated LMP2.

I believe you can request a different class and they will rule on it. Corvette Racing was originally given a GT1 invite but they didn't accept it and had to apply for a GT2 invite. I'm pretty sure if its a well established team the ACO wont have a big problem with moving to a different class.

The Dome S102's back? Pretty cool, that was an aesthetically pleasing car. Reminds me of the GT-One. I'll be gunning for Peugeot. GT2 is going to be fierce between Flying Lizard, Risi, IMSA, Corvette Racing etc. It'll also be interesting to see how the Rahal M3's & RSR Jag's get on. But the highlight IMO will be LMP1. Audi will be back with a vengeance and Peugeot have Oreca for aid this time round (Not implying that Pesca did an unsatisfactory job, just saying Treluyer was unlucky).
