my question is: is there any differences between the 2010 NASCAR cars and the 2011 Cars?
i saw a few pictures on the internet showing the 2011 nascar racecar in a crash with open doors, and open bootlid, and even a ripped of wheel.
so is there a difference in handling, speed, crashing physics or damage, or were these pictures simply photoshoped and edited.

They're pretty much the same. The only thing different is the decal.

Yep. Different paint schemes. Also, the front bumper/splitter is different on the 2011 car vs the 2010 car. Finally, the Dodge Charger got a new look to represent the new facelifted LX Charger for 2011. I wonder why PD didn't include the NASCAR Charger...

They probobly didn't sign with Penske Racing to put their cars in the game. It wasn't about big names or talent, since Joey logano's car is in it. Anyway, there's no need to put it in the game now.

2 reasons: GameStop. Plus the rest of JGR is in the game.

I'd like to have seen the images you described.

The fact is that NASCAR doesn't feature actual cars. Yes, they look like saloons and and badged as Fords or Chevies, but they aren't in any way actual road cars. Not a single nut or bolt on any of the Cup cars are also on the production cars wearing the same model names, there are no actual doors or trunks (boot lid), and their head lamps are just stickers. This means you won't see actual NASCARs with open doors or trunks because they aren't there to open.

Just a simple correction for you. It is not NASCAR's. The correct terminology is NASCAR cars. Really bugs me when people do that, lol. They try to come off as the all knowing NASCAR fan and then they go and make the most obvious mistake by saying "NASCAR's".

NASCAR means: National Assossiation for Stock Car Auto Racing=NASCAR

Well, this is what i meant:

(made by lilmann73 )

and this one:

That looks like a screenshot from the new NASCAR game coming out in a few days. Those types of things don't happen in GT5.

Yup, NASCAR is a governing body like FIA, not a car. There are NASCAR Sprint Cup Cars, NASCAR Nationwide Cars, NASCAR Camping World Trucks, and then even smaller regional divisions from there. And then there are specific manufacturer models to each division but there is no such thing as 'A NASCAR'.

The photo looks like from those GT5 prerelease videos but photoshopped.

I know what it stands for. That wasn't my issue. My issue was the fact that the guy used the wrong termonology. NASCAR's is wrong. It's NASCAR cars, or NASCAR Sprint Cup Cars.

That bugs me too. And I also dont like people saying the cars aren't stock. I agree that they're not, but they were when NASCAR was created.

Hey.. Not cool ;)

lol at the way this thread went..

But yea I just Googled this same question right now because I'm ready to try one out. But after lookin at the 2010 and 2011 Impalas I noticed the front end differences. So now I'm wondering which is the best of the two. Imma buy the 2010 model and run with that.

Side note...this site needs a "prop" button.

what do you mean with a prop button?

Props. As in giving a person props.

As for the Necro Bump...
I feel there is a difference, but I believe I am in the minority on this standpoint.
But I'd challenge anyone to take the 2010 and 2011 Tony Stewart Cars, Same Tune, Same Miles, Same everything and take them both to Daytona in Practice Mode. Let me know how it goes for you.

I'm with you on that one, the 2010 and 2011 #14 cars are like night and day.
