The exhaust sound doesn't sound bogged down and it sounds meaner and the fact that it has just lost all that weight PLUS 500+++ HP under the hood, the new V-Spec is going to be a fast cookie.

I thought we were going to get a manual box with the V-spec? That still sounds like the autobox.

Nothing in the 'V spec' has been confirmed, even the name. I doubt they will go with a manual box, it'll just slow it down (lap times).

Yeah. The auto tranny has had absolutely no problems and aids the lap times like Viper said. No reason to change it.

Pluse they put too much time and effort to make that tranny perfect and seamless.

Do you loose your warranty if you press the throtle?

You lost it when you bought it. Because if your the person who goes and buys this kind of car, it's unavoidable to turn something off..>_>

The losing of warranty thing is completely overblown and off topic anyway.

The elephant in the room would be pricing. While I doubt that it will be "cheap," and for that matter, that a high price would hinder sales... But you know, the thought of a $100,000 Datsun is a bit staggering.

i agree the auto tranny is faster than the manual but wouldn't they save more weight by fitting the manual??

No different to the ZR1, but I doubt the sales will be all that hindered compared to the amount they will produce, Nissan is probably not expecting a huge sales success and probably doesn't want one.

Put this way, they wont be sitting on dealership lots with marked down prices to get rid of them.

Yes but the cost to performance would be too high and the weight difference wont make up for that.

What? That can't be the stupid internet meme!

We dont' know anything about the car as of yet, but it is on the 'Ring. Or, perhaps not...could be some tuner's. The car does seem to be wearing Volks...

over 9000!

So it would be an over 29000 USD trans job?

EDIT: Jim: Volks are quality rims and I wouldn't put it past Nissan to use RAYS-made wheels. In fact, didn't they in the past use special RAYS wheels for the NISMO vehicles?

They do. Rays currently offers Nismo brand wheels along with TRD & Ralliart under Volks Racing.

They never blatantly stated how much weight was lost.

and...apparent the wheels are, in fact, RAYS.

Well this isn't the outright track version, this is just a premium version of the standard car. The GT-R Evolution (unless it's been canned) is taking the mantle of the track car in the GT-R range.

Oh woopie, yet another Skyline which is most likely going to be added to GT5 bringing the total to like a million! :yuck:

Do like the car though :sly:

Robin.

Yeah, they look like TE37's. Which is not suprising because thats where Nissan get's there light weight wheels from.

Thats right, the V-Spec name was never used on a outright monster version, thats usually left for Nismo.
