2010 ticket question

I was looking for a thread explaining my question but I couldn't find one so here goes.

Why did they make birthday tickets for years like 2010? I mean what is the logic behind that since no one with a PSN could possibly be 1 yrs old playing this game. Does anyone know the reasoning for the b-day tickets that are of very recent years (2000-2010) like these?

I feel stupid, please help me wrap my head around this.:dunce:
 
By the time GT6 comes out those 1 year olds will still be playing GT5, so they are going to need birthday tickets. :D
