WELCOME TO THE 24 HOURS OF NURBURGRING!

Race will be June 25,2011 at 8pm central time

This event will have a 2 class system.


GTE-1

This class will have a 650 hp limit.
The following cars are allowed to race:
458 italia
430 scuderia
mercedes sls amg
aston martin db9
bmw m3
bmw z4
nissan gtr
nissan skyline r34
corvette zr1
corvette z06
ford gt
bmw m5

* please feel free to ask if any other car is allowed because I may have left it out.

GTE-2

This class has a 600 hp limit.
The cars in the GTE-1 class are also allowed in this class.
All of the GT500 cars are also allowed in this class.

All Aids are allowed for this event.

The race will be 17-20 laps

Qualifying

Qualifying will allways be scheduled for june 24.
During June 24 I will be online all day and anytime you are on, you can set your qualifying lap while I watch if you cut any corners.

The Grid position will also be announced 1 hr before the race on June 25 at 8 pm ct.

RULES

The rules are simple.
NO CUTTING CORNERS
If GTE-1 driver is trying to overtake the slower GTE-2 DRIVER, the GTE-2 must hold his line and not make any sudden movements so he can allow to faster GTE-1 driver to pass.
Any complaints of dirty racing or intentional hitting will be reviewed and can affect the drivers finishing position.

Can the ZR-1 be RM?
 
i think i did write how many laps there are in the thread. The laps may be shortened because I am trying to calculate how long it takes for a 20 lap race. It for sure wont be any longer than 3 hours.

Are you kidding me let's say you run 7 minute laps that 196 minutes AKA 3 hours 16 minutes
 
It will be hard to get all drivers to line up in order with the way you have set Quali.
I would suggest holding Quali in your Lounge and opening it an hour or 2 before the race.
Make sure your grid options set to fastest first and once someone is happy with their lap they can pull over and wait for Quali to end. This way your grid will be set for you and you don't need to worry about doing a position lap and having to say "go" yourself.
Just a suggestion bud :)
 
Yea that is a good idea I just have to watch them so they dont cut any corners but it is kind of hard to cut at the nurb.

Then what if somehow a GTE-2 car runs faster than a GTE-1. That's not good

lol it is good, for the GTE-2 driver :)
Plus if that happens then surely the GTE-1 driver sucks, not the race settings.

Yes but it's nurb not lemans so handling is more important. And some people (me) really suck so it's possible. I know they can get around but sill
 
Is a mixed grid really that much of an issue?
If someone is faster than you in Quali then 99 out of 100 times they will also finish ahead of you in the race.
 
The GTE-1 has more hp so it will help with the downforce so you still have a advantage even if you suck which I dont think you do.

I will keep an eye out but it would be 2am for me the race would start.
