FIA Press Release on 2012 FIA GT World Championship:
"From 2012 a new GT World class will be created, balancing the performance of 2011 GT1 cars, 2009 GT2 cars and 2011 GT3 cars to enable them to compete in a single FIA GT World Championship. A review of the performance of these three categories of cars will be conducted in order to open up the Championship to a greater number of makes."
There are many FIA GT1, GT2 and GT3 championships currently running on GTPlanet, each with their own interpretation of performance levels. The new 2012 rules give us the opportunity to have a single standard FIA GT class.
The 2012 performance levels will be based on 2011 GT1 with balance of performance for all cars of any class (2011 GT1, 2009 GT2 and 2011 GT3).
In GT5 we have many FIA GT eligible cars and the purpose of this thread is to conduct a balance of performance on these cars to achieve the closest racing and realism. Im hoping that anyone passionate about GT racing, people currently running a GT championship and possibly the GTP ORB to get involved and give input in this balance of performance.
So the first thing is, would people interested in a standard FIA GT class that anyone could then use for their own FIA GT championship?
