*News jingle*

Local photographers have today gotten a few shots of Saitek Technologies' mini cooper works cup car. The head mechanic and PR advisor would not give any statements on the cars performance, but we do think it has a running to be something very competitive.

More at the six o'clock news!

LOL, man thanks for posting. Hope to see a livery soon. I have to get cracking on the official markings.

I amended the modifications:

Wheeel size is 18"
Race valves
Race front spoiler
Race rear spoiler

I added these because the car drifts really easy IMO. And the 18" is a normal race regulation size wheel, at least that I know of. The race valves give the car additional power making total power output 259bhp.

Our grid is looking small at the moment. Can you guys invite friends to the series? I will be posting the base livery with only official markings plate Sunday evening (PST -8 GMT) in the storefront as shared. That way it won't be locked and you can start adding your livery and logos.

Okay guys please go to the storefront and download the required markings livery design. Use keyword: IMJCC 2011. It's shared so it's unlocked. All you have to do to maintain the correct number size is just do a "Change Vinyl Shape" in the editor. You may have to re-orient them to make it look right.

Look forward to our first practice in April together! Hopefuly we'll see some liveries posted up in here. Speaking of, liveries are due on this thread by April 14th.

my friend is interested in doing this and will be my teammate. his gamertag is Halfbakedbuggz.

I'm a little confused. The engine is to be built with race air filter, race exhaust, race valcea, race displacement and race flywheel. whne put all those parts on, I get 288hp and 266lb-ft.

shame, now I have to start the tuning all over again.. ow well..

oh, and spektre, could I change my team name to injen technologies? I like a more real team than ky previous fictional one :P

No race displacement, just the standard 1.6L

  • Race air cleaner
  • Race exhaust
  • Race Valves (not camshaft)
  • Race cylinders (They dont exist for this car sorry)
  • Race flywheel

Okay I gifted the design to Bountyfuzza. I need the rest of you to send me a friend request so I can do the same. And yes bounty your friend can join too!

If I had know I could gift this I wouldn't have spent all that tme making a Mini and Avon logo for the number plate LOL.

I deeply apologize for the "race cylinder" deal. I thought they existed for this car but apparently they do not.

With all the stuff in the new list in post #1 your P.I. should be: P548

If anyone feels another MOD should be used to make racing more interesting or competitive; I'm ope to suggestions.

Pretty sure Lowndes and Whincup wouldn't be seen running little Minis around tracks that aren't in Australia but still :D

count me in please

artboy76

cheers.

Okay I will but I need your team name, and your race number. Please see post #1 for numbers that are still available and edit you post to reflect thsi format below:

Race Number(s): #007

Added, please send me a friend request on XBL so I may gift you the 'required markings' design. You'll see my number on the plate. All you have to do is change the vinyl design in the editor. That way you'll keep the correct proportions however in your case you'll have to make your numbers smaller.

Alright spektre, ive sent you a FR!

And im still throwing it out there, i need a team mate! I will provide both tune and livery, so if you are not that good of a tuner or painter, it shouldnt be a problem. What I see for is not necessarily the fastest driver, rather someone who wants to have a bit of fun, and drives clean. I'm not really in it to win it, but rather to race for the fun of it!

PM me or quote me on this post if interested.

Oh, and I have checked out the spec sheet for the real mini challenge, and they do in fact run 17 inch wheels, along with a racing differential and race spec ABS.

Hazzy I just accepted and sent you the required markings design =o)

Meanwhile check me out testing! I nailed a 1',57".245" today after 6 laps. I guess that's when the tires got heated up finally.

(I know I am missing my driver name. I'm making it now.)

I did a handful of laps and ran a 1:46.3 with a damaged engine and clutch so there is room for improvement for shottaz racing. I hope im testing on the right track cuz my first lap was a 1:50 and i doubt that im 11s a lap fatser than you.

You did test on Infineon indy, right? I put down a respectable 1:47.1 on my second lap around, so I do think Shottaz and Injen might have a close race

I still have a couple of tweaks left on my tune, so i might be able to shave of another half a second in a days time.. but I have to turn my attention to the livery now, as I want it done and out of the way :p

Spektre, at least my car is by cup standards. What kind of tune are you running? I was still in the low 1:50s with the non tuned car..

and fuzza, Injen are now on 1:45.401 so watch out ;) I can still improve on it, but I gotta sort out the turn in oversteer a bit.

Oh, and pictures you say?

Here is the car, 90% complete, going to throw on a couple more sponsors before im happy.

Spektre, if you have time, you could throw up a lobby, and let me see how your car is and your driving style etc.

no, I meant a online race.. but a replay could do the trick.. do a lap on infineon, and post it on your storefront. Ill take a look at it after ive catched a couple of Zs
