Renault will provide a facelift/upgrade for many of its models in 2012. The Mégane RS is no exception. (Dutch) Besides some (small) visual changes, the engine is now up to Trophy specs, going from 250HP/340Nm to 265HP/360Nm. The 'special' Trophy color 'Jaune Sirius' is now also available for the regular RS, as well as the 19" wheels that used to be unique to the Trophy. So much for the Trophy being exclusive. ;) Perhaps we'll see an upgrade of that one as well?? Would be great if they could make the best FWD ever even better. :D

Still looks good (even if the Renault badge would still look better lower down the bonnet...). Even the "look at me!" LED daytime running lights are fairly well integrated, which isn't normally the case.

There's still a nagging part of me that'd prefer a Scirocco R though.

When I bought my own Mégane RS, I also went to see a Scirocco R. Besides being a lot more expensive for roughly the same package, it just didn't give me the vibe that I want to have when spending that amount of cash on a car. Still like it though, just not as much as the Meg.

You're on a roll today. Exactly my thoughts, with the addition of a Fiat Punto Abarth to the Scirocco.

I'm not really seeing the facelift. Or I'm not looking close enough.
It's just a few small details: headlights have dark casings now, there are more LEDs in the front spoiler and (both optional) there's the red trim in the spoiler and Trophy wheels.

Which Abarth, the Punto Evo or the Grande Punto? Very nice cars BTW, though not quite in the same league as the Mégane RS and Scirocco R. How do you feel about the Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV?

Eh, The Alfa is pretty but it doesn't appeal to me. Too tall and too much of a city car look to it.

I was thinking about the Evo. The more I look at this car, the more I like it. I'd actually put this above the Fiat if I were in the market for a hatchback.

Personally I think that the range of hatchbacks that are available right now are some of the best looking cars of the past decade. This looks like it won't disappoint performance-wise. Very excited.
