I did a search for this and nothing came up so i thought it would be good to start a thread on one of the bigger Summer sporting events..

...the Lions just kicked off their tour of Australia with a huge 59-8 win over the Barbarians! 👍

I take it no one is interested then! :(

69-17 today, good stuff, just Healy will miss the rest either through injury or suspension.

Thank you Akmug! thought i was on my own with this

Its been good so far, another big win but there are some far more tougher challenges to come...

Don't think anyone else cares MUSC.

64-0 though, good result.👍

Great result, I watched some of it and its good to see the Welsh players getting most of the points again! :sly:

looks like it just the two of us!

Another comfortable win, 47-17 against the Waratahs

But the win was marred by a suspected hamstring tear to Jamie Roberts, former Wales player (and legend!) 36 year old Shane Williams has been called up to play in the game against Brumbies only

Shame he couldn't stop Tommy Bowe.:sly:

Shane let him have that one, they were team mates at the Ospreys afterall ;)

Big ran of the rugby, and felt Jonathan Davies had a massive game on the weekend, and was puzzled why he hasn't received as much praise as he deserved.

Crazy to hear SW being called up, but sounds like it is as a gap filler. Not a bad idea as he was due in country from a similar time zone, and he's in great shape* from boxing.

The ACT Brumbies just beat the Lions 14-12!! :)

First Australian provincial side to beat the Lions since 1971, and first provincial side from anywhere to beat them since Northern Transvaal (SAf) in 1997.
Lions fielded a team with over 600 test caps, Brumbies - 28.

Disappointing for the Lions but not a huge deal. While I haven't watched thr game yet, it reads like quite a few players weren't upto par for wearing the Lions jersey.

They need to get that defeat out of their system fast, the first test is on Saturday...

Tomorrow its on guys! cant bloody wait! (rubs hands together)

I've even found a place to watch it*, which pretty good given I dont currently own a tv. By the 2nd match, I should be completely sorted in my own place
Edit: *Provided that the game is on BBC1 or BBC2

Great game of rugby! really tense and full of drama and what about that finish! 2 penalties missed in the last 8 minutes!

Australia 21-23 The Lions

The performance from Warburton and Phillips was terrible, almost cost the match.

Oh, and Tommy Bowe back for next week, this series is wrapped up now.:sly:

A very tense, tight match earlier, I was quite nervous watching it and I feel bad for the lads as it could have gone either way...it goes to the third test though..

They shouldn't have kicked from there at the end, Halfpenny took one from the same position in the first half and hit the crossbar. Sexton would have had the range but accuracy would have been an issue. Should have tapped and went, but still, set up nicely for next week.

He kicked another one very similar to the first miss and cleared it.

A lot of guys in the pub were carried convinced it was within range, but I knew full well it was outside his range after 80 mins.

A big blow for the loins that Sam Warburton is out of the final test, he was our best player on Saturday...

Another big blow that Gatland only rates Welsh players, I'd love to know exactly why O'Driscoll has been dropped and Phillips brought back in.

Gatland sees the value in proven player combinations, Roberts and Davies. Which if you've got two of the best players available you'd be inclined to use. Jonathan Davies didn't play great last game, but he was playing outside of position.

The only reason I can see BOD not being on the bench is that Tualagi is needed to cover Roberts.

It was a bit of a surprise to the O'Driscoll dropped and its a big call by Gatland...lets see if it pays off...

What a game!, what a result! 41-16, three second half tries, just incredible!

Halfpenny won that match, set up two of the tries which took us away from the Wallabies.

But yeah, Gatland O'Driscoll Bowe. :sly:
